Keller ISD does stupid stuff like that too- like giving a teacher inservice day the week after a holiday where they're off school. Lucky boys today! Do they stay home and stay entertained okay or do they go to a friends?

Oh no they can't stay home alone, lol; IF I want a house to go to that is.  Why are boys so distructive, lol?

One is at a friends today, the other is with grandma.

Good Morning All,
Got some much needed rain late yesterday and last night.  Hopefully will get more today.  Family coming in from La. tonight.  Can't wait for that.  We all have a massage scheduled for tomorrow.  Just a "girls" event!  Should be fun.
Poor Little S-it.  She was spayed yesterday and picked her up late afternoon.  You can tell she doesn't feel well, she's not bouncing off everything.  I've been told to keep her from jumping on things...easier said than done.  I'll have to keep her in the crate most of the time to keep that from happening.
Hoping your foot feels better today, Alissa, and that Chris gets to feeling better quickly.  Prayers going up for those who need them.  Y'all have a great one.

Blessings,
Carol

Good morning.  Quick drive by...running late due to computer issues...

Happy birthday Laura.

Alissa...hope Chris starts feeling better.

Danni...have good trip to Savannah.

Terry T.   have a good time in Dallas!

I have to work this morning and drive to Lufkin at lunchtime and get fingerprinted by the FBI...don't worry gals...not because I'm a pick (or purse) pocket...school employees have to be now and they left me off the list this summer when it was done in town.  I don't want Liz, Terry and Dana kicking me out of their room in 2 weeks!  Ben is coming home after school today and we will go to the local football game tonight.  We're playing Caney Creek.

Prayers to all who need them.  Que and Tom...hope doc appts. turn out okay.

Have a great Friday!

Morning Train Riders!  I'm sleepy this morning, but a cup of cappuccino will fix that.  I've picked up a couple new projects yesterday so I'll be busy at work today.  I'm also getting a laptop today, so I'll have the option to work from home some.  Wooohoo!!

I managed to get to the gym yesterday and did 15 min on the Elliptical.  Felt good to get back to that, and I'm going to do it again tonight.  Eventually I want to get back to my morning work outs, but until I get over this exhaustion I think it's better to do it in the evening.

Plans for the weekend will depend on the weather.  We're talking about taking a picnic and bread for the ducks to the park tomorrow, then going in to downtown McKinney and wandering the stores.  Hopefully we'll get that done, if it's raining though we may stay home play on the computer and watch movies.  Either way I'm anticipating a quiet relaxing weekend.

Hope everyone has a fantastic Friday!!

Good morning TMB!!

What a lovely morning it is here in VA Beach.  The temps are nice and cool this morning - it's in the upper 60s!!!  The high today is only supposed to be 76.  NICE!!  I'm making a pot of chili for dinner tonight.  And getting started on our football buffet for tomorrow.  Tomorrow's menu includes, but is not limited to, gumbo, potato salad, rice, spicy been empanadas, nachos, left over chili, southwest eggrolls, boneless hot wings and dessert.  I'm sure there are other things I'll be making but I can't think of what now.  I cook on Friday and a little Saturday morning and then we eat whatever whenever on Saturdays.  I have 3 crockpots going and food in the oven keeping warm. Since we have the cat we can't leave it out buffet style unless we want HER to eat it!!!  Love Fall Football.  Hubby and I spend the day on the couch in front of the tv watching football and eating and having a great time.  :)

So, those are my plans for the weekend.  Hope you all have fun plans too.  Love and prayers for all.  MAKE GOOD CHOICES!!

'Tis Friday!  And I took the day off at the last minute.  Checked my vacation balance and was really close to being topped out, so I had to use a day this month (on top of the one I have scheduled for the Friday of OH Conference) in order to keep earning.  Damn the bad luck!  I plan on it being a "me" day - but somehow that translates into cleaning "me" house, doing "me" laundry and the like.  I am going to find time to take "ME" shopping and to the gym.

I'm not sure what the weekend holds in store.  King isn't feeling a lot better - yet.  The boys had plans to go and get stands, feeders, etc., from the old deer lease and move them to the new lease tomorrow, but him not feeling well and the weather forecast will probably change that.  I have a water aerobics class at 9:30am tomorrow, so once again I can't make The Princess Crew walk.  One of these days, one of these days - if there's ever a day on the calendar titled One Of These Days I'm going to be so busy! LOL

September 11th - what a day for rememberance.  I remember being at work when the news first came in and all 200 of us crowded in the breakroom to watch the news and saw the towers begin to fall.  Our management gave us the option of staying at the office or going home.  They actually encouraged those will childen to go pick their kiddos up at school and spend the day at home with them.   Having visited Ground Zero in July, the magnitude of the damage became clear and it was so emotional, but at the same time, peaceful to sit there and look at area and all the cleanup and reconstruction going on.  King and I sat for a long time just contemplating what it must have been like for the average Joe in NYC that day and trying to escape the Financial District amongst the mayhem that ensued.

Must get moving if I'm going to accomplish anything today.  I think I'll start with the gym and swing back home and shower, start a load of laundry and head out for a little shopping.

Have a great day - you can make it happen!!

Hey Girl-
I was at Ground Zero a year after and they were still removing debris. Grand Central Station had a display of  "Missing Persons" posters collaged on hinged doors. I read about 5 of them and had to stop. Watching it on TV and then actually seeing it and then feeling the raw emotion of people begging for their loved ones to be returned was a different story altogether. I have been back a few times since then and each time is yet another humbling experience. It's been a good healing experience for me to see the progress each time I go back. It always reaffirms to me that yes, we were weak and battered, but noone can hold us down for long. On my last visit some of the subway stops had reopened. I am always in awe too that in NYC, a land of lots of noise and commotion, that when you step up to the site everyone talks in hushed whispers.

How awesome.  I remember looking for mine 34 years ago. Not many choices for an overweight 24yo.  Found the perfect one after about pulling my hair out, not to mention giving my Mom a few gray hairs.

Have fun....
