My countdown to the weekend has begun.  My last night of work before my weekend starts.  And I am working neither job tomorrow night.  I have something special to do that I will discuss at a later time.

Not much going in for me.  The Rangers are off, so I will be having all my attention on Big Brother.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Anonymous prayers for the friend of a TMBer, who is very troubled at this time.  I have been in touch with the TMBer and prayers are still needed.

Prayer requests are listed below.

Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness.  Please thank God for these men and women every day.  In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.

Those who are not yet unemployed, but layoffs are looming

Upcoming Surgeries/current hospitalization:

Recovering from Surgery:

Dana's sister Renee is recovering from two surgeries.  Her skin graft on her leg is not healing properly.

Janet (1divaatheart) spouse recovering from kidney surgery.

Karen (Misty750342002) - Pray for her spouse as he as recovers from his eye surgery in an attempt to save his eyesight.

Meggie as she recovers from her surgery and is back to work soon.

Other prayer requests:

Dana requested we add Susan T. and her son to the prayer list.  Justin had a visit to the oncologist today and actions are being pursued.

Dana's friend Rachel is 25 years old and pregnant.  She has a 2 1/2 year old daughter and found out about a month ago she has inflammatory breast cancer.  They are taking the baby in October (2 months early) and will do a double masectomy.

Debra - asks for prayer for Ramon who is in the hospital from his near drowning experience.

Debra also asks for prayers for a friend of mine, Yvonne's husband Kevin.  He is in the hospital.  That is all we know for now.

Jennifer - prayer for the sale of their house.

Jenn Ewald asks prayers that her financial situation improves so she does not lose her house.

Meggie - friend Nancy is in assisted living home and is on her last days.  Pray for Meggie's family also as they try to fight through this.

Vanessa (ButterflyReborn) asks for prayers for her family and for her and her spouse's health issues.

Vanessa also asked for a request for continued prayer for The Dunford Family and all of their friends, doctors, nurses, medical staff, and even all of the people that have never met Elizabeth or the Dunford's but have prayed for and/or have been affected by their story.  Elizabeth's pain is over but the real, deep pain has yet to begin - especially for Michelle.

Below is one of God's children that definitely need our prayers.  This is one specific cases, we know there are others out there.  Remember them too.

Gina J. - Pray for her 6 year old Marina, diagnosed with a terminal illness at age 2. She has improved, but still needs our prayers.  Pray for this brave little girl

Hi George;

Sorry I've been absent all week. I've been a little out of sorts and figured it was best to isolate a bit.

I'm really having a tough week. Holiday weeks are slow and it's frustrating for me. I should be happy that the house showed 4x in the last week, but until we have an offer, I'm going to be stressed.

I've applied for 13 jobs so far this week including one with a competitor of my old company that a former colleague is referring me for a position. The Director of Marketing position at Saks @ the Galleria has been reposted, so I'm rewritting my resume to re-apply for it. I really would love that job.

Not much else is going on. We got lots of rain down here today so that was nice. Hopefully my grass will turn green again sometime soon.

I hope you're well and enjoy your something special tomorrow night. Prayers for all who need them.
Blessings, Jennifer

You were missed.  Don't feel because you had a bad day you shouldn't be here.  We love ya anyway.

I continue to pray for your employment situation.  I am sure He has something special in store for you.

Howdy George...
Long day today.  The girls got tennis practice rained out so came home on the bus.  They absolutely HATE the bus - but, for good reason as their driver is a jerk.  I swear, if people do not love what they do, why do it?!?  I know teenagers can be jerks but for her to be an even bigger one to ALL the kids just isn't right!  They don't ride it long so that was one reason I made them ride.

9-11 tomorrow.  What a day in history.  It's also Paul's birthday.  We try not to mention too much about "the" day because let's face it, it was his birthday long before the incident.  Poor guy actually has to work late though because he will be gone Monday and Tuesday for his foot surgery so wants to get a few things cleared off his desk.

We had rain again today, but not like the day before.  Forecast has another 70% chance for tomorrow as well as Saturday.  Hopefully if it is going to rain on Saturday, it will do it AFTER the Walk from Obesity!  It will be a MESS if we have to walk in rain.  It is rain or shine so keeping my fingers crossed there is no rain.  The girls are not happy though as they really didn't want to get up THAT early - the walk starts at 7:30 so we will have to get up around 6:00 or so.  YUCK!  Who knows, I may just let them sleep in and their entry fee was just a donation to a worthwhile cause!  We'll see.

"Mommy" lunch duty is done so now need to go tidy up before hitting the hay early.  I have done stuff late into the night the past couple nights, then fell asleep on the chair waking up both times at like 4:30-5:00 am...man, getting BACK up after going back to sleep is a pain!

Hope you have fun tomorrow....

Mary and I have done the Walk From Obesity three years in a row.  We will miss it this year.  They are having it the same weekend as the OH Conference.

(I guess OH sites were busy, because I am having no problems with the computer now)

Evening George,

Going to do a quick fly by cause I should be in lala land already.  I have one friend that waits until 10 pm to call, gotta break her of that habit, cause she can keep me on the phone for 3 hours at a time...  Better day today, I actually got things accomplished at work.

DD auditioned for a part in the first school musical of the year tonight, should know if she has call back tomorrow, or if she made the cast..  Been trying to prepare her for the worst, but since I'm stupid....  we'll just wait to see how it goes.

Hope all of your special plans go as planned!

Prayers for all of the spoken and unspoken requests.  Special prayers for all of those that are hurting tonight for what ever reason.

Blessings to all,
Avis

Best of luck to your daughter.  Let us know how it comes out.  Also when it is.  Mary and I used to go to high school productions, even after the kids moved out.
