Nope, I can't make this one.  Hubby will be out in his California office and won't be bac****il Saturday.  Kids are too young to be here by themselves so need to stay here.  That will be our first full weekend with our new "baby"....a mini schnauzer pup, too!!!  I'll have to send you pics once we get him.  His markings are GREAT!  Black and silver.  Mostly all black, only white areas are eyebrows, beard, and some on his lower legs, but toes are black!  He's "wittle-bitty" right now and still with his momma and the rest of the litter.  We get to pick him up on the 20th so the weekend of the conference will be almost one week with him...I know it's gonna be like having a newborn in the house again!  UGH.  Only good thing, I know schnauzers are extremely smart and pick up on stuff QUICK!

LOL    No sorry....Love you and Mary but trust me....I told them that WE don't have enough money to keep them up and  us too unless I go and get a job and that isn't going to happen.   Well....at least to pay THEIR bills !!!  LOL   You know...my oldest and middle son's are both adopted and all they have is us.....and I don't want them living with me nor on the street.     Hopefully God will answer my prayer for him today and provide him with a good server job too.   Thanks for adding him to the prayer list!!

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

Evening George,

Just going to say I had a Monday on a Wednesday, I swear the gremlins have attacked my computer at work, tried to download a registry repair program...  humm, not there, invalid file... turned off the spy ware, firewall, and anti-virus software before I tried to download...  file still not there..... hummm, can't figure out how on the anti-virus software to do a deep scan on the computer (a program I'm not familiar with), call the outside tech guy, get humm, I'll have to play around with the software on my home computer...  ok, I know enough to be dangerous on this stuff,,,,  but there is definitely some kind of virus or spy ware on the computer...  now gotta figure out how to fix it....  sooooo very frustrating and soooooo no help to get it resolved....sigh... I'm just supposed to be counting beans and finding ways to make things more productive!!  Totally was an unproductive day, and I hate those! Prayers of patience and understanding have been said.

Prayers for all of the spoken and unspoken requests.  Healing prayers to all that are in need.  Blessings, to all.

Avis

Hey George...
Wow, a very rainy day here in Katy today!!!  Sarah's tennis was cancelled.  Since they had Monday off, that means no tennis for her this week!  Paul is taking her to the gym tomorrow and they will go into the racquetball courts and play in there.  Sarah is actually getting pretty good in there.  It is soooo funny to see her in there, goggles on (required) and her whacking those tiny balls compared to the bigger tennis balls!  Motion on those swings are completely different though so he doesn't let her play too long.  It can mess up the tennis strokes pretty bad until a person is "set" in their strokes, which at the tender age of seven, she isn't "set" with anything as it is always an improving stage right now.  She likes it though and since the weather is keeping her off the regular court, that's better than nothing!  The Federer/Soderling match is on right now.  Holy smokes, talk about some good shots!!!  The little 17 year old girl from Georgia lost today.  Paul was SO irked that they opted to interview her live right on the court as soon as she lost.  Normally they do not interview the losing player.  He didn't like it because let's face it, she's a kid at only 17 and OBVIOUSLY was upset.  The poor girl was ready to cry for Pete's sake.  To stick a camera in her face and make her talk about her loss was tacky.

Well, I'm hoping it will be a bit more civil on the boards tomorrow.  I saw someone from "elsewhere" posted a rather politically motivated post on our boards in clear retaliation to a previous post.  Geez, the devil works in mysterious ways, doesn't he?!?  At any rate, that crap needs to stay on the R&R boards.  Best advice is to just report the post and hope the moderators pull it.  Commenting only fuels the flames.  Like you have said before, politics and religion are two subjects that are just barn burners.  I, for one, love our support here on the TMB.  Hopefully the newbies will know to weed out garbage like that.

Time to go figure out some lunches....

Check back with ya' in a bit....

I know, me too, it was disgusting but hey, like I say, Satan can be disguised as anything or anyone so I chalked it up to that.

Our rain started here around 10:00, came down rather heavy at times for a couple hours, then just a constant, steady rain most of the afternoon.  It cleared up for about an hour or so mid afternoon with the sun TRYING to peek through the clouds, but that was short lived as it started sprinkling again around 4:30 and continued for another couple hours.  Had the news on and it showed 80% chance of rain in the morning.  UGH.  I absolutely HATE walking to the bus stop in rain.  There are a few low spots on the sidewalk between our house and the end of the street four houses away and if it rains pretty hard, those areas are like mini ponds so we end up walking along the curb but even that can be a little river itself!  Then we have the umbrellas, raincoat, blah, blah, blah, that Sarah just HAAAAAS to wear.  Good grief...

George, I need to add a family friend to the prayer request.

Rachel is 28 years old and pregnant.  She has a 2 1/2 year old daughter and found out about a month ago she has inflammatory breast cancer.  They are taking the baby in October (2 months early) and will do a double masectomy.  I'm not sure how many of y'all know about inflammatory breast cancer but it's the worse one possible and the success rates aren't that good.

I had a friend from Texas, Tracy, that was 34 years old and died about 18 months after finding out she had it.  I'm worried about Rachel and her family.....they've had WAY more happen to their family than seems imaginable.  I don't understand it, I won't question it but I'm sad to hear this family is dealing with yet another major issue.
