I think the "give a damn" button only works on her peeps, and is only broke when it's someone she doesn't care about!  LOL!!

betting Liz is right and it is the meds - can you try stocking his room with non parishable less junky foods - pnut crackers, almonds, jerky, dry fruit - things that will at least keep him out of the ktichen and true junk food -

Thanks for the help Danni.  I wish I could put food in his room, but that is just not an option or else we would end of having to replace the carpet.  His ADHD causes him to distructive at times.  I will go around today and take out all the junk in the cabinets and put them in my room.  Also plan to call his doctor about medications.  Thanks again.   Hugs.

how about a box of stuff he is aloowed to get into in the kitchen - we have worked hard with issues similar to this with the sneaking of food and that seems to work best - shrug - kids are weird but haivng things they can get at will that are "theirs" seems to help wtih other issues too since it gives them more control

Michelle, Eric is ADHD right?  Conner does the same thing, not wakes up but is looking for JUNK when his meds wear off.  I cannot get him to eat anything while his meds are in his system but by golly in the evenings he is looking and looking and looking.  He wants carbs too!  Which I'm trying to avoid as much as possible for him because I know he doesn't need them.  He wants Ramen noodle soup, chicken noodle soup, chips, buttered bread, etc.

Yes Dana, he is ADHD.  He takes Concerta, and stratera in the morning and Trazadone at night.  How do you deal with Conner doing that?

Michelle, it's tough.  I try to keep yogurt around and he'll do that some.  He also likes chicken so I keep it around along with vienna sausage (yuck, but better than carbs).

Goodness, Michelle.  How do you stand that upset stomach every day?  And Mexcian food of any type would surely seem to be an aggravation to an already aggravated situation.

You mention your ulcer is doing good as long as you're careful what you eat.  Is your upset stomach not related to your ulcer?  Or do you have more than one stomach issue?

I know bland is boring, but have you really tried it for a few days to see if you get any relief at all?  I know right now King is battling a case of diverticulitis and is on a soft / bland diet - he hates it, but he's doing it.

I'm no doctor, but I certainly wouldn't think Mexican food would be one of the better choices with the issues you seem to deal with on a daily basis.

Feel better soon.

Hey Jodie,

I do have numerous problems with my stomach.  It tends to spazam quite a bit and I take medication for that and I also have IBS.  The ulcer started it all, and for the most part I am really careful about what I eat.   The mexican food is just something I indulge in now and again and if I take my medication before hand it is not so bad.  Can you tell me what is Diverticulitis and what are the signs?  My surgeon tells me that it is just that I have bowel problems and probably always will.  I have had scopes ( 3 or 4) done and thats where they found the Ulcer.  When we get moved to DE I am going to research further as I personally think there is something else going on.  THe doctors here are just tired of me and dont want to hear what I have to say!  Sorry did not mean to get into that.  Believe me I do get tired of having issues every day and I HATE having to take the medication (Bentil) I have to take for the spazams in my stomach but it is what it is for now.  Thanks for careing!  It means a whole lot.  Michelle
