Hi Lori!!  Welcome to Texas (almost)!  I have to say I'm a transplanted Texan and love it here.  I grew up in Michigan and while it was an adjustment when I first moved I've come to love it here and can't imagine leaving.

I live in McKinney (just north of Plano) and am the support group leader for our Collin County Support group whi*****ludes the Plano area.  We meet three times a month, 2 casual meetings and one structured meeting.  Then we get together for coffee or impromptu support whenever we need it.   Let me know the next time you're going to be in town and we'll put together a little coffee so you can meet some of the local people. 

I'll send you a PM with my phone number, feel free to call about anything.  I've lived in the Collin County area for a few years and will be happy to share some suggestions for things to do or places to check out around here.

Welcome! (almost)...and Congrats

In case you have not figured it out we are an active bunch.  The DFW area loves to get together and just have fun.  There are active groups across the Metroplex and just for fun we like to travel together too!!

Next time you are here just yell, I am sure about 20 of us can meet for dinner at the drop of a hat!!

Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming marriage.  I am in Frisco, which is immediately north of Plano.  We have a great group for our support...meet several times a month.  Debbi is our leader and is remarkable.  We'd love to have you join us whenever you get down here.  At least you'll miss our summer with it's heat this year :)  I am a La girl.  Where did you live when you were in La?  Looking forward to meeting you.

Hey girl! I am so happy he proposed and you're making the move here! I've been watching for updates. Congrats on all fronts!!!

I'm in Highland Village, about 30 minutes away from Plano, so we can hang out easily! Moving to Texas back in 2006 was a big deal for me too - and the OH TMB has been a Godsend on so many levels. I tend to be more of a loner and social outcast (by choice) but NOT ONCE have I ever felt left out of ANY Texas Message Board affair. Everyone here is very warm, friendly, and kind. You will want for nothing when it comes to loving people here!!
