B2B Tuesday - how did you do today?

i think i did okay.  I found myself at noon finally looking up to eat something. That means my breakfast was missed.   Feeling a bit puney this afternoon with sore throat and ears, so I am not sure if I will do dinner.  Here are my totals for the day so far.

The mid-afternoon munchies grabbed me and wouldn't let go.  Then we changed dinner plans and it all went out the window. 

Breakfast: protein drink
Lunch: 1/2 turkey sandwich
Snack: pretzel crisps, licorice, fudgesicle
Dinner: steak and eggs (fried), bagel

Totals:  calories: 1204  Protein: 89.  Looks like I can only have a SF popsicle for snack tonight...sad day.

Steph,

I found some bagels for Emm for her breakfast. They are called Carb Check by Nature's Grain brand.  They are 18g of carbs after fiber and full size.  A bit pricey but if it gets her to eat breakfast, it's all good.

I did somewhat good, but really honestly....i have had NO WATER TODAY!!  1/2 cup of coffee and we call that my liquid for the day...ugh...

b-yogurt
L-small veggie salad no dressing
S-two small chicken strips
D-quarter of a grilled quesadila
Meds and vits are in....
That is it folks...today kinda sucks....not even hunry....going to go fill up my cup and atleast get some water in..

Today was good ... we had a school event at CiCi's pizza tonight... would have been so easy to indulge but I waited until I got home and had a piece of fish!!! That's my wow for today... not that CiCi's is good by any means but the a year ago I would have eaten the crappy food until I was stuffed!!!

Have to laugh, cuz as much as I hate Cicis I probably would have done the same thing.  I mean , where else can you get macaroni and cheese pizza? LOL.

I've been dealing with a sick kid - he's lost 8lbs, which he could afford to lose.  So basically running around today like a chicken with my head cut off. 

After I took him to the doctor and then we went to Walmart to get stuff that is good for us, and btw, i have completely thrown out all bad foods.  Even the Lean Cuisine type Mac n Cheese I was letting D eat (before he got sick) that was in my freezer was put in the dumpster over the weekend. 

Once we left Walmart, I wasn't so much hungry, although I knew I needed to eat, but I was darn thirsty and made a bee line for Sonic.  (If you've been seeing my post you know the revelation I had about Sonic)  Anyway, so I pull up to Sonic and started browsing the menu....I nearly gagged just thinking about the nutritional (and I use that term loosely) value of the items on the menu.  I ordered my drink and half of it still sits beside me.  Dining out just doesn't look the same anymore. 

My guy took me to dinner on Sunday and his son wanted Pho.  I don't eat Chinese food post-op.  I loved it pre-op, but post-op I just can't eat it.  I mulled over the menu and ended up ordering something with grilled chicken.  He of course had me tasting broth, some meat, this shrimp roll, etc.  I look at him, also post-op, and I'm like HELLO, remember, times have changed, it's all about me, and I wanna look better than I did when I got pregnant almost five years ago.  He just looks at me, like whatever, you're gorgeous....blah blah blah, I tune him out there, cuz that's not the reflection I see.  Also, Sunday after dinner we went to the movies.  Before movie starts I was going to get something to drink.  My guy takes off for drinks, I'm waiting and waiting and waiting for him to return and finally go check on him.  He comes back with 3 huge drinks, a large popcorn, and ice cream.  I look at him like WTF??  Movie theatre popcorn I have loved a LONG time.  I stand proud and say I only had 3 single bites.  Not handfulls, single kernels, and I was done.  Maybe 3 sips out of my enormous drink and no ice cream. 

BTW, I did join the Y on Saturday and attended my firs****er aerobics class on Sunday.  I'll be going M/W/F to water aerobics, then change things up on T/TH.  Prob water aerobics on Sat and Sun as well since they have kid watch. 

I don't know if anyone reads my post - but my mind is set and I'm full steam ahead.  Oh, and I weighed 8lbs less than I thought I did when I weighed on Sunday.  Bonus.
