Good evening all.  Hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was okay, outside of the Rangers.  Went to Sunday School and Church today.  Spent a little bit of time with Brad and his family.

I have to work tonight, so I will be back in a little while.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Anonymous prayers for the friend of a TMBer, who is very troubled at this time.  I have been in touch with the TMBer and prayers are still needed.

Prayer requests are listed below.

Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness.  Please thank God for these men and women every day.  In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.

Dana's sister Renee is recovering from two surgeries.  Her skin graft on her leg is not healing properly.

Janet (1divaatheart) spouse recovering from kidney surgery.

Karen (Misty750342002) - Pray for her spouse as he as recovers from his eye surgery in an attempt to save his eyesight.

Other prayer requests:

Dana requested we add Susan T. and her son to the prayer list.  Justin had a visit to the oncologist today and actions are being pursued.

Debra - asks for prayer for Ramon who is in the hospital from his near drowning experience.

Jennifer - prayer for the sale of their house.

Jenn Ewald asks prayers that her financial situation improves so she does not lose her house.

Meggie - friend Nancy is in assisted living home and is on her last days.  Pray for Meggie's family also as they try to fight through this.

Vanessa (ButterflyReborn) asks for prayers for her family and for her and her spouse's health issues.

Vanessa also asked for a request for continued prayer for The Dunford Family and all of their friends, doctors, nurses, medical staff, and even all of the people that have never met Elizabeth or the Dunford's but have prayed for and/or have been affected by their story.  Elizabeth's pain is over but the real, deep pain has yet to begin - especially for Michelle.

Below is one of God's children that definitely need our prayers.  This is one specific cases, we know there are others out there.  Remember them too.

Gina J. - Pray for her 6 year old Marina, diagnosed with a terminal illness at age 2. She has improved, but still needs our prayers.  Pray for this brave little girl

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Hey George...
Game was fun...ALMOST got a foul ball!  Landed close, then bounced up and over and a guy a few rows away bullied his way up the stairs and took it right out of my grasp.  Oh well, he TRULY needed it more than me (rolling my eyes).  Of course my kiddo was with me and I would have given it to her!  A few people kinda looked at the guy with a pretty disgusted look.  Oh well, like I say, if he needed it that badly, then I'm glad he got it.  Astros won so Paul wasn't a happy camper.  He of course wanted his Phillies to win.  Holy cow, LOTS of Philly fans there!!!

Went to dinner afterwards with a few friends that Paul met up with.  I was so irked because I didn't eat even six bites before getting full (pouch had extremely "tight" feeling all day so never ate much today anyway).  I pushed the plate towards him so he could eat off it.  He was busy talking to the guys and I was busy with my kids so never saw the waiter take off with the plate.  He assumed I was done and didn't want any more so took it away.  Never asked if I wanted it, just tossed it out.  Needless to say, I'll be getting in touch with them in the VERY near future.  This waiter was a jerk anyway.  Paul's friend's wife never got her meal.  The waiter just messed up and didn't put the order in.  After she finally realized it hadn't come (she has two small boys so was busy making sure they were eating), when she inquired, the waiter immediately put the blame on HER.  "Why didn't you say something sooner"???  HUH???  I don't care what the problem was, the customer is always right and even if he THINKS that, he shouldn't EVER say it!  We have eaten at this place many times and never have had service like that.  I am definitely bummed though...would have liked nibbling on my leftovers later on...

So starting to wind down.  Need to go jolt myself up with some iced tea now....

Sorry about the rotten experiences today.  I am sure there was good times inbetween.  Afterall, in the last 24 hours Roddick and Venus bit the dust.  LOL.

I did one worse than you last week when Mary and I went to eat.  I asked for a box for each of us.  The waiter brought us two to go containers (Mary and I each had eaten about 1/3 of our meal).  I left them on the table.  Did not realize it until about an hour later.

Oooh, bummer, that was definitely "user error" on that one.  Heck, I didn't even GET the chance to leave the darn leftovers!

The game was good and seats were AMAZING.  We were three rows from the field right on the third base line, about 10 feet from where the ball boy sits out there.  Sarah got bored pretty quickly and the other two girls just kept wanting us to go up and buy junk food for whatever reason.  Not just junk food, but EXPENSIVE junk food!!!  Sheeeesh.  Both will be working their hineys off tomorrow though because they both have a district match to play in on Tuesday so need do some "warming up" tomorrow!

I love the ballpark there, but I hate the rules.  They don't let you bring anything in.  Mary and I go to a game here, I have an insulated bag on wheels, about the size of a backpack.  I put 5 quarts of Crystal Light in it.  Have to put the quart size, because the big one with the handle will not be allowed in.  Also, we bring cheese cubes with us.  And peanuts sometimes.  Sandwiches.  Or quesodillas.  Whatever we want.  Only rules are no hard sided coolers.  No alcohol.  No glass bottles or cans.

Yeah, Paul had us all bring a bottle of water.  He had a couple bags of chips that were only about half full.  They made us dump everything.  Cannot bring in anything unless you put it in the bottom of your bag and they don't see it.  Oh...nice, I have to dump perfectly good water so I can buy THEIR water...the exact same bottle...for $3.75.  That is ridiculous!  He got the girls all ice cream and soda (diet...like it mattered after the ice cream...) and a hamburger basket for everyone to nibble on and the bill was $37!  Not very "family friendly" on the budget.  Thank goodness Paul got the tickets from someone in his office.  Oh, and when he had to throw out the chips he was an idiot.  He threw away the bags of chips which I didn't care about...but it would have been nice had he pulled the chip clips off before he tossed them in the trash.  Dork....

When we went there, Mary had a purse with a removeable bottom.  We took out the bottom and put a big bag of peanuts in it.  I also put a bag of cracker jacks in each of my pants pockets.

I have been best friends with my ex-boyfriend for almost 20 years now. We 'dated' in JR high and then after we broke up we became best friends. I lost contact with him for about 3 years or so and then all of a sudden he found me on My Space.

2 Weeks after he found me his wife died. She went septic but since it was 6months out from WLS they said it wasn't related. That was a little less than 1 1/2 years ago. Last Sunday I text him to find out how he was and he didn't return my text or call. Then on Wed I text him again asking him if he was ignoring me joking around when he text back he told me that his Grandma died and he wasn't ignoring me but he was dealing with that. I was in shock and told him I was very sorry. She died of brain cancer.

Then I went grocery shopping when I got a text from him and I was about to hit ignore (since I was in the grocery store and some of our convo gets pretty heated sometimes ) When I read it and it said his mom just passed away about 2 hours ago from a heart attack.

I have known his whole family my whole life. Here he is a single father with 2 boys to raise on his own. His wife was only 27 when she died and his boys miss their mom really bad now they are going through this. Please pray for this young family. My heart is broken to see my best friend like this.

He is supposed to let me know when the service is so I can go for support for him and his family. His dad is a good guy and has fought lung cancer (had the bottom of his lung removed) just this past spring. No more signs of cancer for now.
