Update--and 30 lashes with a wet noodle
I apologize for not updating sooner. I recovered at Mom and Dad's then went back to work. Working really wipes a girl out!
So it turns out diarrhea is *NOT* normal and is bad when it's multiple times a day, every day. It leads to dehydration. Dehydration is bad. LOL Anyway, dehydration is mostly solved. I'm still a little dehydrated, I think, but I'm doing much, much better.
I worked every day this past week, 4 hours Mon and Tue, 6.5 on Wed, and 8 each on Thur and Fri.
I'm on soft solids for now. It's interesting trying out new foods. The pouch has only rejected one thing--salmon.
I'm hoping to be around more often as my energy comes back up.

when your pouch rejects something it's not unknown for it to acept it gladly a day week or month latter - by the same token just b/c your pouch is good with it today does not mean it will be ok as left overs tomorrow - no one really knows why LOL it is just a thing living with the pouch

Home is where the army allows me to live with my husband
I know what I need to do - I have to choose to take care of me or I choose to fail

It seems the diarrhea was mostly to blame for the dehydration. The doc was NOT happy when he found out I'd lost 20 pounds in the first week post op.
I'm hoping to try salmon again in a few weeks. Tuna is okay, so I figured salmon would be, too. LOL I'm trying not to repeat too much. I don't want to get as totally burned out on foods as I was on the protein shakes after the first week.

Glad to hear you're doing well. 20 lbs in the first week is a WHOLE LOT. Keep an eye on the color of your pee-if it gets dark, up tha****er. Sounds like you're doing great but don't over-do at work. I was tired for quite a while after mine.
