Please be SURE you guys keep an eye on Ramon at all times for the next few days. There is a life-threatening medical condition called "secondary drowning" which can suddenly occur out of the blue up to several days after a near-drowning incident. I saw this mentioned once on Baywatch, and did some reading up on it at the time. Apparently the flooding of the lungs with liquid can cause a strange reaction later in which the body's own fluids suddenly fill the lungs again, resutling in a life-threatening pulmonary edema condition. Surprisingly, many ER docs don't even know about "secondary drowning". Scary!

I think that mention of "secondary drowning" on Baywatch in that one eispode really helped a lot of the public (and even medical providers) become aware of this phenomenon ..
