RIP Joe Mendez...

My friends husband was killed Saturday morning by a drunk driver. He was 36 and was coming home from work.  He leaves behind a 6th grade daughter, a 9th grade son and a beautiful wife who loved him tremendously......please keep this family in your prayers this week as they have a memorial service today and then head to the valley to have a memorial with his family and friends there on Thursday. I just can't imagine hearing the news that my husband will not be coming home.......

July....I am so very sorry that your friends husband was killed by a drunk driver.    What goes through the minds of the idiots who drive after drinking !!!!  UGH !!!!  Tell your friend that you have extended family who will keep them in our prayers and thoughts.   Praying also for justice for the driver who killed your friends husband.   I also can't imagine my hubby leaving for work and never returning home.    That is such a very sad thought...especially with small children.   Prayers big time going their way !!!!

thanks vivian...the drunk driver was also killed...my first though was good...but then I imagine he had a family too that is grieving as well....

Thank you so much for this posting, my cousin Rebecca is dating Joe's brother. We haven't really heard much from her but I can only imagine the heart ache that the family is going thru right now.

Isn't it a small world? At the viewing last night Sue had heard from the police that the other driver was indeed drunk....it is so sad...I was amazed at the outpouring of family and friends that were there last night.....

I am so sorry for the loss of your husbands friend.  Life is to short to take any of it forgranted.  We need to live each day as if it was our last.  Prayers go out to your family and the Mendez family.
