Update on Justin
Hello my friends.
Well, where to start. Yesterday morning Justin had the CT done. By 9:45 we were on our way home. Just after 4:00 we received a call from the nurse at our clinic. He "wanted us to know LCDR Smith had received all the results and would like us to come in today instead of Wednesday. Her schedule was full, but there were a couple of appointments they could reschedule. Which would be convenient?" You know my heart dropped when I heard that. We picked the 9:45 appt and arrived early. Spent 20 minutes face to face time with the NP. She was great. Answered all our questions as best she could....and let us know that the findings were abnormal - and consistent with what they see in patients with lymphoma. Justin has an appointment with pediatric oncology tomorrow morning at 8:00. They are walking him in as they didn't have any appts available.
We've been told to expect them to order a more comprehensive CT with contrast so they can check him EVERYWHERE he has lymph nodes. The NP said definitely more blood work. And, depending on the results, we can probably expect them to do a biopsy at some point.
So, even though we've seen the doc, we still don't know much. Instead, we have more questions, more testing and more hurry up and waiting to do.
Thanks to all who have checked on us today. Your love and friendship means so much to me. Please continue to pray for us as we go thru this craziness. I love you all! Doubt I'll be around much, but I will try to pop in as I can and give updates. Feel free to text me anytime. I always reply. :)

Dear Susan,
I'm keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. I know this is scary, but I know you are a woman of faith and I know from experience that faith will carry you through the hard times. I wish we were closer so we could go sit and drink coffee and talk. Thanks for the update. Call on me if there is anything I can do besides pray or if you just need to talk.
