The NIGH****CHMAN -Monday 8/31
Good afternoon all. Hope everyone is doing fine. Nice day outside.
Not a good day at the part time job right now. Kind of ticked off at one of the employees. He has been here a long time, and everytime he disagrees with something I say or do, he runs to the boss. Of course, the boss backs me, but I just get tired of this guy's whining. Guess I need to have a talk with him.
So, how was everyone's weekend? What do you have planned for tomorrow?
If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested). Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Anonymous prayers for the friend of a TMBer, who is very troubled at this time. I have been in touch with the TMBer and prayers are still needed.
Prayer requests are listed below.
Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness. Please thank God for these men and women every day. In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.
PEOPLE SEEKING EMPLOYMENT:
Anne (Lalocaweta) and her spouse
Jennifer - (Cruise Director Julie) - still interviewing
Jeri
Stephanie and her friend Mack
Vicki V.
Those who are not yet unemployed, but layoffs are looming
Upcoming Surgeries/current hospitalization:
Meggie is in Arlington Memorial while they check on her pancreas.
Recovering from Surgery:
Christopher J - had his RNY on 7/21. He is recovering, but had a stricture. It was repaired on 8/14, now the recovery from that surgery moves on.
Dana's sister Renee is recovering from two surgeries. Her skin graft on her leg is not healing properly.
Janet (1divaatheart) spouse recovering from kidney surgery.
Karen (Misty750342002) - Pray for her spouse as he as recovers from his eye surgery in an attempt to save his eyesight.
Other prayer requests:
George - BJ the Carboy (a car salesman who I purchased my car from) is the son of Jerry Reynolds. Those of you in the metroplex have surely heard of Jerry. He used to own a car dealership in the metroplex and did lots of charitable things in the area. BJ is in the hospital at this time and not in good shape. Originally they were talking about a heart transplant. Right now they have backed off that. His cariologist believes the heart transplant is the last thing to do, when all else fails. Can't say as I blame him.
Jennifer - prayer for the sale of their house.
Jenn Ewald asks prayers that her financial situation improves so she does not lose her house.
Meggie - friend Nancy is in assisted living home and is on her last days. Pray for Meggie's family also as they try to fight through this.
Vanessa (ButterflyReborn) asks for prayers for her family.
Vanessa also asked for a request for continued prayer for The Dunford Family and all of their friends, doctors, nurses, medical staff, and even all of the people that have never met Elizabeth or the Dunford's but have prayed for and/or have been affected by their story. Elizabeth's pain is over but the real, deep pain has yet to begin - especially for Michelle.
Below is one of God's children that definitely need our prayers. This is one specific cases, we know there are others out there. Remember them too.
Gina J. - Pray for her 6 year old Marina, diagnosed with a terminal illness at age 2. She has improved, but still needs our prayers. Pray for this brave little girl
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
What a beautiful day we were blessed with today!! Hope tomorrow is as beautiful, I didn't get home in time tonight to get my lawn mowed.
Busy, busy day here... When I think I'm getting settled into the new job, I get another project thrown at me. I know that's a good thing, cause they think I can handle it, but man! It's definitely not boring.
Sorry you are having to deal with a whinny hinney, seems like there is at least one in every office... I know you can handle it.
Other than that, not much new in my world. Had a puny weekend with allergies, so I ended up sleeping alot.
Prayers for the spoken and spoken requests, payers for those that don't realize they need them. Special healing prayers for those that are in need, and for those that are hurting tonight for what ever reason.
Blessings to all,
Avis

Sorry for the pain in the a$$ person at work. Like Avis said, always seems to be AT LEAST one like that in every darn office!
Well, today was productive in that I got some crap ironed out at the high school with regard to her getting some well needed help/hopeful modifications which will lighten MY load of having to help her with all the written assignments she does. Poor girl...she knows whatever it is she needs to know, but can't get the stuff from her head down onto the paper so her information always is jumbled and looks like she has no idea what she is doing. SO frustrating for me as I have to CONSTANTLY help her to reword her work to make it sound correct! I absolutely REFUSE to just do it myself as she wouldn't learn a THING by me doing that, so we always sit down and go over it together which isn't always a smooth experience! Can we say major stress and drama?!? UGH. Have to give some kudos to Karla as she gave me some good suggestions on who to get in touch with as she works with kiddos who need special services. Heather is completely deaf in her left ear and with that comes learning disabilities as well. At one point Heather was two full years behind in reading and has really bounced back well but there are definitely some "gray areas" in the language arts area that unfortunately spill over into ANY class where she has to write stories/sentences/information/etc. which is preeeeety much every class but MATH! UGH! Thankfully the lady I had to contact is someone I already know and knows Heather so now that I brought it to her attention, she plans on getting to it ASAP! Hallelujah! I felt much better after talking with her (but will be even better once I know the wheels are definitely in motion so have learned not to get too excited too fast with stuff like this!!!). When I was done there, I stopped into our old vet's office that we used yeeeeears ago when I had my last mini schnauzer. She was so happy to see me as she followed my weight loss progress when I initially went through it so hadn't seen her in a couple years. She was like, "wow, you still are Miss Skinny Minnie". I wouldn't completely agree, but definitely know the maintenance phase works when you follow it! Yippee!!! At any rate, she was happy to hear we were getting a puppy as she knows V is hoping to be a vet. She told me to bring him in as soon as we get him so she can give him a good look-over. We get the little guy in about three weeks. Sarah is definitely getting excited as is V, but Heather, ehhh, not so much so. She is, but not like the other two. She is just reallllly not too thrilled with having a dog. Guess she just can't get past seeing our neighbor's dog (a rottweiler) out in California attack the mailman when she was like three years old. It scared the crap out of her and ever since then, she is very fearful of dogs, ESPECIALLY big ones! Of course, our neighbor here has two fairly large dogs...a lab who is just the absolute most sweetest dog ever, and their son's dog which has now become a permanent fixture at their house...a lab/pit bull mix. Thankfully the dog has more lab than pit, but I am still very leary to let Sarah out there as she gets a tad nervous around him. He is another very well mannered dog as my neighbor has trained a few hunting dogs and does a lot of hands on "handling" of the dog so he might be used to a kid rubbing his face, etc., but I still just keep a close eye on him. Sarah absolutely cannot STAND dog slobber (she is COMPLETELY grossed out and HILARIOUS to watch her get so wiggy about it) and this dog looooves chasing tennis balls so the second he sees us open up the garage door, he makes a run for the garage as he knows we keep a huge hopper of tennis balls in there! After he's been chasing one for a while, OMG, that is one NASTY tennis ball and usually the dork will drop this slobbery ball right at Sarah's feet (wanting her to play with him) and that all but makes the girl gag! Sooooo funny!!! So I'm glad I touched base with the vet so she knows she'll see us in about three weeks.
Ok, gotta go catch some of the Roddick match.....the U.S. Open started today...
So, whenever someone goes and gripes to him, he tells them that George runs it. He has two people that he gives in to sometimes. My solution, whenever they ask me a question, I tell them to go ask Steve, they are going to any way. Then I call Steve and tell him who will be contacting him and what I want done. I normally get my way.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
