Hopefully Karla's sleeping in so I'll start...what's your plan for today?

I have been doing so well this week it scares me.  The true test will occur in about 3 hours.  Clay and I are going to the movies and you KNOW I love the movie popcorn!!  I still haven't had a Diet Coke or any junk food but I think I'm gonna have ONE diet Coke at the movies today and skip the popcorn.  That would be a great compromise for me.  If I could sneak in my SF lemonade I would and I sure don't wan****er.  I'll think about it some more and decide my plan.

Breakfast: protein drink
Lunch: leftover grilled chicken
Dinner: steak and salad

I've kept my calories between 850-1100 all week so I'm praying the scale will be kind on Monday. Let me tell you that size 6 skirt reminded me how much I want to keep this up.

Morning.

Guess you and me are the only ones not walking or R and S ing or sleeping.

Not sure food wise the plan, but I do hope to cook up some things for next week and something different.

As for the popcorn, i'm with ya. I don't bother with popcorn unless I go to the movies and I go literally about twice a YEAR. But when I do, it's a big popcorn with extra butter.  Course if I go with my folks, I don't have to worry, they eat most of it ! lol.   I always ask if I should get them some and they say no, but then, watch out!

Steph, you would love this theatre.  We get a large popcorn, large diet coke, a pickle AND a movie size candy (for Emm) and it's $7!

A Medium Coke is $5 at mine and a small popcorn is $4.50.  I'm so cheap, I usually sneak a can of Coke in my purse.

Karla wasn't sleeping in...well actually 2 hrs. later than weekdays now, but went to sleep 2 1/2 hrs later than weekdays, so no more sleep...but can take a nap today and probably will.  I knew if I got on the puter first  I wouldn't stay on my schedule for today.  I went to Lowe's and Walmart after I got up, then just got done unloading and putting stuff away.

Okay...I've done well all week other than one "slip up" but was just the way it worked out.  I came home and cleaned Ben's room up other than putting all his bed stuff back on...stripping and washing curtain, dust ruffle and up...needs it...barely got done in time to go to football scrimmage to watch my niece cheer.  I had an Atkins drink, then 1/2 small frito pie.  I figured wasn't the best choice, but wouldn't kill me.  I was down another pound today...-5 since Monday so I'm happy.  I loaded up at the store on veggies, lo carb recipe stuff, etc. for good healthy eating.  Found some flat wraps you can make low carb pizza on and thought that might make a fast easy good pizza...they show it on the wrapper.

What do you think about posting good low carb recipes and good shake recipes each day?  thought it might give some ideas to others.  I got 2 good low carb cookbooks this week.  Tonight I'm making a dish w/ eggplant and gr. chuck that looks really good.  Got makings for Mongolian Beef sans rice/noodles; tilapia; shrimp; salmon; tuna...even found tuna salad ready to eat in a foil pkt. that wasn't high in carbs at all.

Yesterday ate: protein coffee, 2 atkins drinks, 120+ oz. liquids, chinese chicken salad for lunch and finished it for a snack; handful of nuts/raisins, 1/2 small frito pie.

Today's plan:
protein coffee downed; drinking more liquids right now.
chinese chicken salad for lunch
gr. chuck/eggplant dish for dinner
ham/cheese roll up if needed

Steph, if I drink a Diet Coke it's usually on Sunday when at MILs for lunch.  We spend about 4 hours every Sunday at their house, I'm thinking about skipping tomorrow though because their food isn't the best; oh wait it's AWESOME just not healthy for me and I don't want to deviate and see the scale go up, lol.

Today's plan:

Breakfast:  1/2 serving Land O'Lake deli turkey, 1 slice American cheese
Snack:  not sure
Lunch:  Charred Tomatoes, Chicken & Broccoli Salad
Snack:  not sure
Dinner:  Same as lunch or chicken salad maybe

I'm not cooking today, we have too much in the frig that I can eat and stay on course.

I have mushrooms and squash that I need to cook before it gets bad, so I'll throw something together later, lol.

I need to get in a shake today somehow, someway.  I have NOT been hungry at all, I'm forcing myself to eat....yet again my one extreme to the other extreme.

Good morning everyone.  I didn't post my results yesterday, but I did well.  I stayed under 1100 calories and about 78 grams of protein.  That's good for me.  My son and his wife came in from Houston last night and I was having too much fun to post last night.  My daughter, son-in-law and grand daughter will be in around noon, so I'm not sure if I'll post the rest of the weekend or not.

Karla, I love the idea of posting recipes.  I've been digging through my low carb cookbooks and I'd be happy to share.

Here's today's plan --

Coffee
B - Canadian bacon & cheese
L - Spinach salad with ham, cheese & boiled egg
S - Adkins protein shake
D - Greek salad, rotisserie chicken, green beans, stuffing

This has been so good for me.  I've learned so much about what I'm eating and keeping myself in control.  I hope we continue with these posts.  It makes me feel connected and accountable.
