Well, the rumors are off the wall at work.  They are talking about sending all of the Injured on Duty employees home beginning Friday, because there is "no work available due to our restrictions".  Not that they are trying to find work for us to do.  No matter.  I will be looking for work at other government agencies.  This will give me more time to do that!

I went onto WorkIn Texas and filled out my experiences and everything so I can get all that started.  Took several hours, but it's done!  Tonight, I'm going to be serious about the email that was sent to me by Mr. Gentry at the TWC and start hitting all the links he gave me.  I'm really looking forward to getting out of the postal service.  They are now offering an incentive to leave.  $10,000 up front and $5,000 in a year.  If you are ready to retire, it would be worth it, but to retire on my annuity alone ($1100 a month) it wouldn't be worth it!!  And they would deduct for years that I'm under the regular retirement age, which is 56!  I'm only 49 and they are deducting 5% per year that we are under!  Dang!  Not worth it.  But if I can transfer govt agencies, I could still get the "stimulus" and keep a government job and my Thrift savings, work another 8 to 10 years and then retire.  Gotta get going on usajobs.com!!

Therese starts school again today!  Her classes are on Tues and Thurs only this semester.  She's getting straight A's so far!!  I keep telling her that she's smarter than she thinks she is!! LOL!!  But she's loving it, even tho she has been stressing over this!

Well, better get going and get into the shower.  The postal service awaits!!  Ya'll have a great day!  Love ya!

Laura,

My son works at the Dallas VA Hospital and loves it. They always have non medical openings. You know me, I'm a firm believer that if you don't like something in your life, take control and do something about it. Good luck on your adventure!

Your loved!

Good Morning Laura and the rest of my TMB Family,

Its always nice to see a new face starting our train.  Not that are new Laura but glad to see you here getting us started.  Not much on my agenda for today.  My stomach has been cramping really bad.  Took some Corectol last night and hope it will work today.  Does anyone know if it is ok to take that every couple of days?  Thats what I have been doing.   Guess maybe I should have asked first.  Oh well thats me always doing things backwards.  Got word yesterday that the people that are buying our house want to close tomorrow if they can get it all together.  Sounds ok with us, either way it will be done on Monday.  We will be so glad to have that out of our hands.  We are planning on buying a Honda Oddessy Van as soon as we are dong with paperwork.  Next week sometime I guess.  Mark is looking for deals and I try and stay out of it.  Tend to act on my immotions.  I was so sorry to see that Meggie is in the hospital again.  I sure hope she has better luck at finding out what is going on then I did.   This is the first weekend in a very long time we dont have any plans.  Of course that is subject to change at any time.  Ok well guess I should go and have my coffee.  Vits are already down.  Prayers for those in need especially Meggie.  Have a blessed day.  Love you guys.  Michelle

Good morning all - just one more day to wake up with out Tim then he should be home for a bit - got an email passed down from the commander with more acurate dates for the deployment and telling us to NOT listen to rumors - so looks like I get him home for a while:)

yesterday was crazy - ended well but a busy crazy day- today should be busy but not crazy and the kids and I are making welcome home signs this afternoon and tomorrow I get to write on the van and house windows - wally world sells glass markers by cryaola - so I got a set hehehehe

the scale has not dropped but I AM about 2 pounds below what had been the bottom of my range for a while now so I am calling it good esp since I have been doing a fair amount of emotional eating the last few days

hope everyone has a great day!!!
rememeber WHY you had surgery - I did it to be healthy (oh yeah and to look better in my jeans) and that means taking good care to eat right - get my vits- drink my water and move my bum!!

peace and prayers

Good morning.  Having to do all my computer stuff on my old computer.  My second laptop adapter has bit the dust...2 in 5 months doesn't make me happy.  Ben left his in Aggieland, but brought his computer.  Neither of us can use them, so I ordered 2 new ones since we  use the same adapter.  I'm gonna do some inventive engineering on the new one that may include duct tape and/or tiny pvc pipe or something to keep it from bending too much.  I think that's what kills it...hitting sofa arm too much!

I have 2 ARD meetings today and lots of paperwork...It already seems to be piling up.  After this week I'm definitely spending time at my other office across town.  It will keep my from getting interrupted 25 times a day to deal with kids that aren't even on my caseload.

Ben's going back to CS sometime today...probably before I get home from work.

Prayers for Meggie and all others who need them.

Have a great Thursday!

Karla

Quick drop in and hello.  School is going great but it is keeing me busy and out late.  I don't care for my government classes - I'm taking two.  The material and the professors are fine, but the 60 something 18 year olds crammed in the class are the most obnixous group of people I've been around in a long time.  Their behavior is atrocious and emberrasing.  I know these are classes freshman normally take, but I'd put off taking them for so long that I was stuck with both of them in one semester. Not fun. The other two classes are great.  I just have lots of work.

Health wise I'm good.  Doing the B2B challenge and posting details there.

Gotta run alkready.  Teens has papers to be signed.  Hubby's lunch not packed and my office phone is ringing.

HUGS

Good Morning All,
It's lightly raining here in Frisco.  Hope it keeps up all day.  Today is Charlotte's "real" 5th birthday.  Kindergarten was going so good then when I picked her up yesterday she had a bobo near her eye.  Seems a hula hoop hit her while at recess.  It was even swelled some.  Then, bless her little heart,  when she went to the bathroom to wash her hands, she took her new ring off and left it and when she went back it was gone (of course).  So she was in tears when I picked her up.  Had to bite my tongue to keep from crying seeing her like that.  Hopefully today will be better.

Did better with my eating yesterday, however, I did sucumb to a few tootsie rolls left over from the birthday party.  BAD, Bad.

I'm ready for the weekend.  Y'all have a great day.

Blessings,
Carol

Good morning everyone,

I seem to have nailed my tummy issue right on the head.  I'm feeling quite a bit better already.  I'll wait til after the wedding to find an alternate iron though.  Can't deal with that right now.  I got to spend the evening with my boy as well.  I took Josh shopping for his shirt, shoes and belt.  We had to go to the boys section to find a belt small enough.  I also took him to Vitamin Shoppe and helped him pick out some powder and bars to supplement to help add the 3-5 pounds he needs to avoid getting a waiver before he goes to bootcamp.  I sent him home with my Magic Bullet as well but told him I get it back before he leaves.  Then this morning, Clifford seemed to be trying to make peace with Heli.  So all in all, things are good in my world right now.  WOOHOO!!

Saying prayers for all of you. Have a great day everyone.
