The NIGH****CHMAN - Thursday 8-27 - Early for a reason
I received a prayer request from someone on the TMB that needs attention. We have prayed for an individual on the TMB in the past. That person has passed and no longer suffers, but the family has requested anonimity. So I will honor their wishes. They do not want the person's name out there on the internet. Just know that someone special to one of our board members has passed. Pray for the TMBer as well as the family of the individual.
If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested). Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Anonymous prayers for the friend of a TMBer, who is very troubled at this time. I have been in touch with the TMBer and prayers are still needed.
Prayer requests are listed below.
Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness. Please thank God for these men and women every day. In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.

Those who are not yet unemployed, but layoffs are looming
Upcoming Surgeries/current hospitalization:
Meggie is in Arlington Memorial while they check on her pancreas.
Recovering from Surgery:
Christopher J - had his RNY on 7/21. He is recovering, but had a stricture. It was repaired on 8/14, now the recovery from that surgery moves on.
Dana's sister Renee is recovering from two surgeries. Her skin graft on her leg is not healing properly.
Janet (1divaatheart) spouse recovering from kidney surgery.
Karen (Misty750342002) - Pray for her spouse as he as recovers from his eye surgery in an attempt to save his eyesight.
Other prayer requests:
George - BJ the Carboy (a car salesman who I purchased my car from) is the son of Jerry Reynolds. Those of you in the metroplex have surely heard of Jerry. He used to own a car dealership in the metroplex and did lots of charitable things in the area. BJ is in the hospital at this time and not in good shape. Originally they were talking about a heart transplant. Right now they have backed off that. His cariologist believes the heart transplant is the last thing to do, when all else fails. Can't say as I blame him.
Jennifer - prayer for the sale of their house.
Jenn Ewald asks prayers that her financial situation improves so she does not lose her house.
Meggie - friend Nancy is in assisted living home and is on her last days. Pray for Meggie's family also as they try to fight through this.
Vanessa (ButterflyReborn) asks for prayers for her family.
Vanessa also asked for a request for continued prayer for The Dunford Family and all of their friends, doctors, nurses, medical staff, and even all of the people that have never met Elizabeth or the Dunford's but have prayed for and/or have been affected by their story. Elizabeth's pain is over but the real, deep pain has yet to begin - especially for Michelle.
Below is one of God's children that definitely need our prayers. This is one specific cases, we know there are others out there. Remember them too.
Gina J. - Pray for her 6 year old Marina, diagnosed with a terminal illness at age 2. She has improved, but still needs our prayers. Pray for this brave little girl
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
Good day, very busy which makes the time fly by. Still lovin' the new job, it's very interesting to learn a new industry, I enjoy listening to the arborists talk and am learning new things every day, and the people there are awesome!
I hope the school paperwork stops soon! I have had papers to fill out each night! Thankfully I only have one, Jill's hand still has to be cramped from filling out forms for 3!
All is good in my world, I am blessed!
Prayers for all of the spoken and unspoken requests. Special prayers for those that have lost someone close, and those that are hurting tonight for what ever reason. Special prayers for Meggie, prayers for an uneventful surgery tomorrow (read that on another post), and a complication free and speedy recovery. I pray this is the answer to all of her pain.
Blessings to all,
Avis
It's another night in the Metroplex for me. I had an interview this afternoon. It was OK, but I don't really feel like I clicked with the hiring VP. I'm starting to think my expectations may be too high. Either that or I'm jaded from losing a job that I loved so much. I've got an interview with another company tomorrow morning (postponed from Wednesday afternoon), so I'm hoping that will be the one. Unless money continues to fall from the sky, we're going to have to start taking some money out of savings next month (I thought this was the case in July, but we've had some surprise money come in in both July and August that prevented that from becoming reality).
Not much else is happening in my world. Had another wonderful visit with my cousin and his wife. We haven't heard anything new on the prospective buyers for our home, but the weekend is coming so hopefully we'll get the call tomorrow or Saturday that they want to see it again. If they don't make an offer this week, it will be featured on the San Antonio Homes show that airs on Sunday morning on September 6 and we'll have an open house that afternoon. Getting out of that house and into any of the rental properties we've been looking at will save us at least $500/month.
I'm so happy to read that Avis is loving her new job. It gives me hope that the right job is out there for me. I'm really trying to keep my chin up and have faith, but I am getting scared.
Prayers for all who need them. I hope Meggie has a complication-free surgery tomorrow.
253 / 140 (below goal)
If I were lying, wouldn't my pants be on fire?!?
Keep your chin up and continue to have faith. This job was a huge cut in pay for me, but there is so much potential, they are already talking promotion and I've only been there 2 weeks. I almost ran my savings out.. I was getting pretty scared myself. Please keep your heart and mind open, I know the perfect job is out there for you, just be open to the possibilities. Always remember, God won't bring you to, what He won't see you through. Sending you a cyber hug, you're going to be ok!
Blessings,
Avis
