Back to Basics Adventure: on to day 3!

Yesterday I had 2 protein drinks, 128+ oz. liquids, 90+ g protein.  I ate chef salad for lunch, 1 oz. nuts for snack, 1/2 piece of Schwan's tortilla encrusted tilapia and some lima beans for dinner, a SF pudding cup and 1 grilled ham/cheese roll up.  I was satisfied.  I did however have to look away from my co-workers giant bowl of evil tiny candy when I went by the sp. ed. co-op.  My first thought was ...ooh...candy...then...ooh..can't touch it!

Today's plan:
at least 2 protein drinks, 100+ oz. liquids, oriental chicken and pudding cup for lunch, steak and lima beans for dinner and a 3rd protein drink or ham roll up for snack.

What's your plan?

Karla

Oh yeah...best part...down 1 more lb. today for a total of 2 so far since Monday.

Good Morning Karla & TMB,

Great job on resisting the candy and losing another pound.

I know that I did not consume enough calories/protein yesterday but I just wasn't hungry.  Sometimes, the band is finicky that way.  I had three drummettes and then later I had a small salad, 2 tsp corn and a piece of steak approximately the size of a sticky note.  I did get my 48 ounces of water in as well as walked a brisk 2 miles.

Today's plan:
B-warming up the band with coffee right now...
L-salad
D-salad
Water-48 ounces or more
Exercise- walk 2-3 miles

great job ladies.

I am holding in there.  What I had planned and packed yesterday didn't all get eaten. I was just too busy and not hungry.  My numbers were at about 1100 and my carbs, fat and salt were way down from Monday.

I'm dying with the no scale since Emm decided she needed to start weighing again and it is now in the living room/art studio.  But I can hold out till Monday.  I just would be mortified if there was not change.

The dress I'm wearing today is 'loser' than the last time a couple weeks ago, so maybe that's a good sign.

Hang tough everyone.  We are on Day 3 of the Conference challenge.

Morning Karla and B2B Adventurers!

Yesterday went well, no problem wanting to eat things off plan.....today should be similar.  It amazes me how easy this can be if we work the tool the right way and decarb.  Those evil things can control us.........we need to control it.  Just a day or two of good, healthy eating and the cravings are gone.

I did weigh this morning, I'm afraid to jinx myself so won't say how much since last Monday yet.  I'm going to keep this up and see what next Monday gives me (hint......if this keeps up like this I might just see the top of my goal range, woot woot!)

I'm still hanging in there although this morning I woke up thinking about fruit.  I don't have any in the house because DH is on the South Beach induction diet so he can't have any fruit for 2 weeks.  I'm thinking I might have to buy some and hide it so I can eat a piece of fruit while he's at work.  LOL.  Hiding fruit would be different from the chocolate I used to hide so he wouldn't know I was eating it.

Here's today's plan --

Coffee
B - 2 slices of Canadian bacon and 1 oz. cheddar cheese
L - Leftover pork satay and green beans
S - Ricotta cheese with flavored syrup
D - Broiled Salmon with Creamy Lemon Sauce, Spinach Salad and Cauliflower "Mashed Potatoes", SF Lemon Jello

I'm sneaking in late this morning but I'm here.  Yesterday was so much easier than Monday.  I think it's cuz I was over the no Diet Coke thing.  I actually stayed under 1000 calories for the day, woohoo!!

Today's plan is:
Breakfast: protein drink
Lunch: salad with LF ranch
Dinner: leftover pot roast and carrots.
Snacks: I have several kinds of fresh fruit to chose from plus raw veggies for "crunch".

I know this sounds nuts but I swear my size 8 capri's feel lose this morning.  No scale til Monday...I'm determined to see a drop.

Karla...next time you see a big bowl of candy out in the open, Just think of how many people have stuck their hands in that bowl....did they wash their hands after that trip to the loo? Or after touching ______(you fill in the blank!)

And that birthday cake at the office party.....did they blow out the candle(s), spitting all over the whole cake in the process? You want a piece of that???

Just a few things that come to my mind that have really healped.....
