Good evening one and all.  Another nice day.  My day has been good.  When I got home last night, I jogged for about 15 minutes before going to bed.  Gonna try to increase it gradually.

Today I booked a vacation for Mary and I.  We are going to Branson for 4 days, 3 nights.  Any recommendations for shows will certainly be listened to.  We are definitely going to see the Osmonds on one of the days.

Hope everyone had a great day, mine is just beginning.  Big night tonight with the RANGERS playing the Yankees and also Big Brother.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Below is one of God's children that definitely need our prayers.  This is one specific cases, we know there are others out there.  Remember them too.

Gina J. - Pray for her 6 year old Marina, diagnosed with a terminal illness at age 2. She has improved, but still needs our prayers.  Pray for this brave little girl

Hi George;

Sorry I missed last night. I completely gapped out and remembered I hadn't checked in when I woke up this morning.

Even though Michael's back in town, the neighbors have continued their adoption for us. We've gotten to the point, we're cooking and having dinner together every night and tomorrow, we're moving our deep freezer over to their house as we don't have much left in it and they need the freezer room. Tonight, Alicia took Michael to the grocery store and stocked us up on some essentials we still need to have here (Vitamin Water 10, healthy snacks, etc.) for the rest of the day when we're not with them. Tomorrow, I'm helping them out by dropping off and picking up their 2-year old at her pre-school and Michael's picking up their freshman daughter from school on the motorcycle (at her request and with her parent's permission, of course). We gave their oldest daughter, the freshman, my old laptop as she needed one for school and they couldn't afford one right now, so I guess we're trading stuff. It is nice to have people around more of the time than I have in 8 years.

I have a phone interview tomorrow for a software sales position in Dallas. The company is HQ'd out of Chicago, so that's the reason for the phone interview. Then, Thursday morning, I'll drive up for a 3pm interview in Addison for a marketing management position. I'm going to stay the night with Rick and Nicole and drive back mid-day Friday.

We had a couple look at the house while we were out on Saturday afternoon. We've been told that they love the house and floorplan, but they haven't decided exactly where in the San Antonio metro they want to live. Their realtor said they may want to see the house again this weekend. Please pray that they decide this is their new home. It would be such a relief to be able to plan our move.

That's all I can think of for tonight. I hope all is well with you. Prayers for all who need them.
Blessings, Jennifer

Evening George,

Quick fly by here, I'm whipped.  They decided at 3:30 pm to move my office from upstairs to downstairs.  I work in a "shop" environment, so there were multiple trips up and down the wooden stairs in the heat. Did get my desk set up downstairs before I left, so I'm ready to rock in the am.

Jennifer, many prayers going out for you on the job front and the house.  I know He has the perfect plan for you, and when that plan hits....  watch out girl, sometimes it hits so fast, your head will be spinnin'....  mine is still spinnin'.....

Prayers for the spoken and unspoken requests, special prayers for those hurting tonight for what ever reason.

Blessings to all,
Avis

Hey George....
Getting ready to hit the hay.  Doing the usual "mommy" stuff the past couple hours.  I was surprised to read in the "breaking news" that Sen. Ted Kennedy passed away.  Guess I shouldn't say surprised though - kept reading he was pretty ill.  Guess I know what will be on ALLLLL the news stations all day long, all WEEK long, I'm sure!  Hmm, thank goodness for lots of other cable stations to watch.  Sometimes watching the news just gets waaaay too depressing these days!

Nighty-night all!!!

I can honestly say I don'****ch the news more than once a month.  And I don't read newspapers.  I figure if it is REAL important, they will interupt my sports station.

I bought our first tickets for our trip to Branson.  I got Mary tickets for the Osmonds.  Already have the room paid for.  I will be buying one show every two weeks.

Anymore, news is always depressing!!!  Guess they COULD report on some good stuff but to them, that isn't "news".  Whatever.

Branson huh?  For me, I can't do it.  My reasons are kinda goofy though, but, when I was growing up, my grandparents owned a home in Rockaway Beach which was within like 30 min of Branson.  The house we would vacation in is one I helped to build with my own two hands along with my sister, my mom, my dad, and both my grandparents.  My dad and Grandpa did most of the work of course, but there were days that we went to the property and went to work pounding nails, snapping chalk lines, etc.  When we first got there, all that was there was an empty lot of land.  When we left three and a half weeks later, we all locked the doors when we left.  That house got built in three and a half weeks!  After it was built, we vacationed in that house for years.  Hardly anyone had a house even remotely close.  I'm sure now that entire area looks like a suburban city!  Any time we'd go there, we got to go to Branson for dinner as that was the closest big city.  Branson was a little sleeper town with mostly stop signs through the town, maybe one or two stoplights.  Occasionally we went to Silver Dollar City which was pretty fun too.  When I see pictures of all the explosion of growth, for me, I'd rather remember it like it was.  A quiet little sleeper town.  I'm sure a lot of people have memories of little sleeper towns that are now big, huge, thriving cities.  If someone hasn't ever been there though, I'm sure it's a great place to go!  You all will have a good time there.  Hope you get some good show tickets!
