hey! did you see my post on FB abou****ching Ruby.  She went to a surgeon to look into the surgery and learned, and I quote...

It is NOT the easy way out.  And the surgery is only 25% of it, the 'diet' and person are the rest to make surgery successful!

Who would have thunk it???

Stephanie...what exactly did you eat today? (If you don't mind sharing...)

Your protein count is awesome...and I have a hard time getting that much in...I'm trying to steal ideas...

My last count, I was at 60 grams, but that was before dinner...I'm not quite sure how much chicken was in the cup of chicken spaghetti I ate...so not sure on the protein...

Jennifer are you trying to lose or maintain.  Your carb intake scares me, lol.  Just seems high for a WLS person.

yeah it is a lot higher than normal today... tried some new foods... they didn't sit well so won't be repeating... I usually stay away from all pasta and bread but my lunch today had whole wheat pasta... it was really heavy and tomorrow I'm going to have the same thing without the pasta... Also had and orange which didn't help the carbs any... Thanks for bringing it up... I was actually about to go and edit my post to say "wow my carbs were high today"  I did well since I stuck to my planned meals but didn't do well in evaluating my carb intake prior to eating it... I'll do better tomorrow, which is all I can do about it today :)

Ok, somebody please, PLEASE, help me??? How on earth do you all manage that many calories??? I am getting 400-600, which Stephanie said was too low and could be the cause for my 3 week stall... and my monthly stalls. I eat an ounce or two of something and I am full so I stop. How are you getting that much in? How can 58g of fat be a good thing? I was freaking out because of what I had! Can someone help me??? This is what I had today:

Michele, look how far out most of us are compared to you.  I posted earlier that at 4 months I couldn't eat very much either.  My suggestion is just to keep working on your protein intake if it means sipping on another shake or two per day.  The shakes will get you up to enough proteins for the day.

Looking at your intake your food seems to be more carbs than protein, those carbs WILL fill you up quickly they just aren't going to keep you satisifed in the long run, especially when you get to 2-3-4+ years post-op.

Protein, protein, protein and LOTS of water, some exercise and stay off the scale if at all possible.  I can tell you are frustrated, don't give up try different things.
