GOOD MORNING!!! I hope everyone slept well. I was kind of getting spoiled there-other people starting the train and all, even our Miss Liz. lol. No, I don't mind if I'm the first up- sometimes I am, sometimes I'm not, sometimes I just want to play a computer game just because I can't keep my eyes open enough to type! lol.
I have to admit, I was bad- I skipped on the walk yesterday. I was just so overwhelmed by the stress of everything going on with the stolen check and some other details about things that I've found out since then that I just laid on the couch and vegged. Normally walking when stressed makes me feel better but last night my body wanted nothing of it. Tonight for sure I will have to get moving.

well times running out for me to have my ME time, now that I'm back to making lunches and all. I've got mine and Chris's packed. I hope by packing protein shots and food I'll do much better with my choices this week. Yesterday I did better than I have been doing, still lots of room for improvement!

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning Alissa & TMB,

I am happy to say that nothing is on my agenda today other than working and when I get home to continue reorganizing my room.  Alissa, I hope that everything works out for you and I will have to join you on the exercising because yesterday I did not do anything as well and my food choices were not the best.  Have a great day.

Alissa, I'm glad you found out who stole your check.  Sorry to hear that it happened at all.  I hope that everything works out well for you.

My arm is sore where I got the tetnus shot, and my hip is sore where I got the antibiotic shot!  And my elbow is sore where I stuck the carpet tack in it!  I'm ready for a vacation from vacations!! LOL!!

I guess I don't have much to say today.  I'm ready for something to happen soon.  Tired of waiting for the other shoe to drop, it's very stressful.  Everyone at work is the same, also.  Lots of threats of excessing and layoffs, but no action.  Can't figure out if they just get a thrill of threatening or what.  Anyway, hopefully something will happen soon.  I'm still waiting for the jobs to open up that I want.  I've been going to usajobs.com and putting in at other government agencies, but it always takes a while to hear from them too.

Better get into the shower and get ready for work.  Ya'll have a great day now, ya hear?!!  Love ya!

Good Morning Alissa and the rest of my TMB Family.

Well lets hope today IS a terrific Tuesday for all.  I am up early, almost to early but the internal clock just does not want me to sleep.  Eric had a great first day of school, and of course came home with lots of paperwork for me to sign.  He said he had no problem getting from class to class, and was able to get his schedule changed so it now reflects that he is going to be in the band.  Speaking of band, does anyone know where we can buy a used Saxaphone?  That is the instrament he wants to play and to buy them new they are about 3,000.  If we were certain he was going to like it and continue to play that would not be a problem but....he is 13 and they tend to change their minds a lot.  I had a nice walk yesterday and I plan to do it again today and make it just a little longer.  I am trying not to over due it, cause I have not walked all summer.  It sure felt good though.  To bad I came home and slept most of the day away.  I dont have a lot of energy these days.  Will look forward to having labs done when I see the doc next week for my 2 yr check up.  Anyway...Not to much on the agenda for today, a walk, Laundry, and return movies.  Tonight is Big Brother night so you know I will be glued to the TV for that.  Sounds like the coffee is ready so guess I better get moving.  Liz hope you got a little unpacking done yesterday and that you are slowly setteling in.  I am sure Loralee and family are glad to have you there to stay!  Prayers for all those in need this morning.  Have a blessed day.  Love you guys.   Michelle

Usually you can rent instruments. My parents rented my clarinet from a music store for a year before buying one, just to make sure I would stick with it.

Thanks Alissa.  We thought about that but wondering if because we are leaving in two months if they will do that for us!  It is a thought though.  Thanks.

Check the pawn shops.  You may have to take it and have new pads and keys adjusted but they are usually pretty good instruments.

MICHELLE-regarding the sax--especially since it is one of the "larger instruments", talk to the band director before you buy anything. Some schools keep the larger instruments on hand, to be used. Corbin played tuba his one big year in Band (Football won out-big surprise). The school supplied the tubs-we only had to buy the $75 mouthpiece. I have to say, I'm GLAD football won out...that tuba sounded like a love sick bassett hound, crying out for a wife...it was AWFUL...

If nothing else. I bet the band director can lead you in the right direction.

Try ebay, Craigslist, talk to the band director (maybe an exiting senior has theirs up for sale).  Rental at first is your best bet unless you find a good deal.  That way if he loses interest or changes to a different saxaphone, you aren't out alot of money.  Right now he will play alto sax but later he might be put on tenor or bass sax.  I hope he enjoys it.  Both of my kids were band geeks.  LOL
