St_Mel - what a sweet post! Thinking of me?  Your advice sounds do-able, too.  I'll look on PBS for that exercise program, because I've seen it before.  And water aerobics sounds perfect!

I can be such an all-or-nothing person that I have to remember baby steps count too - or in my case - mainly!

Nice to meet you, and thanks again!

Morning everyone! This is my first time on the train since surgery!! Last night, for the first time since the night before surgery, I slept the entire night, all the way through. I didn't go to bed until after midnight, and I didn't wake up until after 9. It was so refreshing! I can't stay on this altered schedule for much longer since I do have to go back to work soon, but I was so relieved to wake up and realize I'd slept through the night.

I didn't realize it was tax-free weekend until my roommate told me yesterday. Since I'm all holed up and not buying any clothes for the foreseeable future anyway, it doesn't really matter to me.

My plan today is to work on getting in more protein and water and see if that solves the tiredness problem.

I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!

Unfortunately the tiredness is just part of having surgery.  Between the stress of surgery, the anesthesia and your suddenly LOW calorie intake, your body will react by being tired.  Naps are wonderful- take advantage of them when you can.  "Sip, walk and rest" needs to be your only job for the next few week ot two.
