Well, Im thinking the friday EGD will help a lot. Maybe that first then go from there? Girl im so sorry you are having these issues..If it were me, i would go for the EGD first. Keep in mind the Valium is habit forming. One at night isnt gonna kill ya, just a thought :)

When I was born, I cried and the world rejoiced. Now i wanna live my life so that when I die, the world cries and I rejoice
You are so right about the Valium!! My PCP would Rx me 2-3 at a time. Would takee 1/2 of one before I got on a plane for a long plane ride or he also did that when my dad died! I would just take1/2 a pill sleep for an hour and wake up mellow and able to handle anything! Of course that was at 300 lbs so there is no telling how I will readct 165 lbs lighter!!
So glad you are home and safe!

Man, what a mess. I hope the EGD settles everything. I think Dr Provost is an excellent doctor. Ask Paul in Dallas-he thinks highly of him-if I remember correctly. I've been to his seminar when he was UT Southwestern, now he has a program up in Denton.
Not nearly as big of a scale but when I had my foot surgery they found out I made more scar tissue than the norm and now the scar tissue might be causing my pain so they want to operate but like you I thought, well wouldn't that cause MORE scar tissue? but they said now knowing this they could do some things differently to help it heal. Maybe they have something like that for your adhesions.
Take care of you!

My sister has issues with adhesions as well. Her appendix burst inside her and she's had multiple surgeries since then due to adhesions. It's a delicate balance trying to take care of the adhesions while not creating more scar tissue that creates more adhesions. You need a good surgeon with lots of experience in dealing with this. My sister's are better, not perfect, but better. They finally worked with mesh and so far so good. I would look into your options for sure. There are some out there for you.
