Sat WLS Express!!

Took Mom to Last Call N-M at Grapevine mills! Found her nothing found me some amasing buys, red suede skirt,nubby black and white Jackie O type skirt, and a fabulous little black dress, oh and 2 pairs fishnet tights!! Full price w/tax would have been about $850!!!!!!! After all discounts and no tax....$95!!!
Almost bout and amasing raspberry colored suede jacket, didn't, Ken told me to go back and get it!! Regularly $450- I could get it for $50!! Will pay atx but going back for it asap!! Then went to talbot's outlet--Mom bought me a striking red dress and 2 skirts($5 each)!!

There is a bigger reason I am telling you about this than my good finds!! Mom was in the dressing room w/me!! Suede skirt she says fits great and told me she was right I needed the eight! She was dumbfounded when I told her it was the 6!! One dress I told her I had tried on in the store last fall in the 12 she told me the one I had on was too big!! Matbe I should try the 8 or 10!! The too big dress was a size 6!!She is finally catching on to how small I am! The smaller the size  the more fun she was having seeing me try on clothes! Even liked that they were at or a little above my knee!! This was the best time we have had together in a long time!! No hurtful remarks or condesending atttitude or bad feelings!! That made it worth every minute!! Buying some clothes was a bonus!!!!

Sorry about the novel but having a good day w/Mom can be a very rare thing!!

Oh Meggie, I so understand.  I never one time in my entire life got a compliment from my Dad. And now that he's deceased that will never happen so I'm glad you're finally hearing it from your Mother.

You know she didn't want me to have the surgery in the first place!Had a massive stroke 3 days before my surgery because she ignored all the signs she was having TIAs and blacking out! She may finally be comming around! I am sorry you never heard a compliment from yo9ur Dad--such unfinished business is difficult!

meggie I am soooooooooo glad your mom behavied and was proud of all your hard work - we have been all along :)

I don't how I have kept my sanity over the last 2 yrs!! Could not have done it without lovey hubby and especially all my peeps here!! Yall have held my hand and patted my back and supported me through ALL my trials, tribulations and accomplishments!! THANK YOU ALL!!!!

Steph we had the BEST time - put together shelves, unpacked boxes, cooked dinner for 7 kids (4 of hers and my 3) and stayed up till 1 am talking - I needed this weekend badly - I have missed my dallas peeps bad esp Deb - and even though I am out meeting peoplr here and making friends there is something about people who have known you for years

I cuddled her 5 yo and we told him about me brining them home when he was born (both our hubbys were deployed) and got to know her 2 youngest - the littleest one is Rachels age and the next littlest is 3 - I only knew him as a baby - it was just the most awsome time - even my dear Teen fit right in like we had never been apart

oh and she is teaching him to drive - his face just lite up when he got to back my van out and turn it around LOL - was an awsome thing to see

Good Morning OH Family! (it's my morning anyway)

Just a quick fly by before I start getting ready for work. Did not get home until 2am this morning got in bed around 4ish. Tonight is going to be really busy again. They are gearing up for the World Poker Tour. Liz so glad your heading this way, safe travels. Hopefully I will get to see my peeps at Annette's shower. I will post on Monday who we have bring what. Good Afternoon everyone, Sorry for the late post but woke up late and headed straight out to join the Princess Crew. Great morning walk with a nice wide path and nice breakfest afterwords. Left fro breakfest to Home Depot to build a sieve to screen a dirt pile from our last patio expansion prior to spreading it on the yard. Finished with the dirt and now plan to sit and relax until my walk tomorrow night.
