My plan for today:
16 oz. protein coffee
20 oz. chicken broth
Atkins protein drink...lo carb
breakfast taco
salad w/ meat/cheese for lunch
lots more liquids
roast/carrots/potato  for dinner

Good Morning Karla & Adventurers,

We don't have very long left this month and I am attempting to low carb through next Saturday evening.  For September, I have to do something different. I just don't know what yet.  My food was on point yesterday with the exception of a five or six fries from Mickey D's and about four Doritos.  Why must carbs taste so good?

Today's plan:
B-eggs
L-salad
D-salad with some type of meat
Water-at least 48 ounces

I didn't do as well yesterday as the two prior days with choices but they weren't awful, I did control my intake of the not so good stuff.  Work provided lots of comfort food, I stayed away from the kitchen, lol.

Not exactly sure what is on the plan today, I do need to plan.  Thinking we'll have a date night tonight and go out and eat somewhere.

I'm still sticking with the back-to-basics challenge.  Yesterday I got off plan slightly at lunch.  The place we went didn't have any really great choices.  I had a small salad with a chicken and squash casserole.  The casserole was good but had some kind of filler like bread crumbs.  But all in all, it was a good day.  We went for Italian food at dinner.  I had a wedge salad with tilapia with garlic butter sauce.  It was served on top of pasta which I ate none of. 

Here's today's plan:

Coffee
B - One egg with 2 slice of Canadian bacon
S - Adkins protein drink
L - Ham and cheese stacks with tomato slices and pesto
S - Cheese sticks
D - Grilled chicken with feta, cucumber & tomato salad
Dessert - SF Jello

I'm taking the weekend off cuz Hailey's here but come Monday it's ON!!  I already went to the store and bought what I need to succeed.  I PROMISE to start logging my food, eating HIGH PROTEIN and low carb (except for fruit since I don't eat veggies) and get back to drinking water.  A FIVE pound loss is my GOAL for September.  NO EXCUSES, it's time to do what's HARD!!

Okay girls...it's on come Monday...I'm already picturing myself jogging through the park...that may not really happen, but I'll walk in my neighborhood or ride bikes in the mornings and maybe do the park walking/jog some evenings, especially as it cools off. 

I got some stuff to help do the high protein thing...ham/block cheese to do the grilled cheese/ham egg face roll ups, salad makings, and plenty of chicken breasts. 

We're all going to be AT LEAST 5 lbs. less when we meet up for the OH Dallas Conference...come hell or high water.

This IS hard, so I gotta work harder.  It just doesn't take much to get me down again. Two good days with no real good respone. One off day but NOT bad and boom it's up again. 

Yes this is whining and I will stop in a minute! lol

It's time to regroup this weekend with the house, with my work desk and with my schedule and with the FOOOOD...   Not sure the approach yet, but it must happen.  I also need to get out of this house and move my body!!

You can whine...that's fine with me.  It is hard.  I was talking to a counselor subbing at our school yesterday that is skinny as a rail...has had plastics and looks fantastic...she said something about gaining 10 lbs.   I told her I was fixing to protein up even more than usual and cut out the carbs.  Maybe one day I'll look like her!   When I first saw her I asked a secretary if it was who I thought it was...hadn't seen her in a few years since surgery.  She said yes and I said...boy does she look good since her WLS...the secretary  said...I'm glad you told me she has had surgery...I've been really jealous of how good she looks...her stomach is so flat!

Hang in there...we will win!

My adventure went to hell in a handbasket this month!!!!   Hopefully I'm back on track today.  Went to see my doc this morning and he gave me a fill before he did his seminar this morning.  He didn't give me as much as I wanted.... still not where I was prior to surgery but it's a step in the right direction.  On liquids today due to the fill and may stay on them tomorrow.  Here's to hoping I get some restriction out of this!
