Unhappy with doc

Me and my partner had our 90 day visit with our Nut, on july 23rd. After that hey were supposed to submit to your insurance company for preapproval for our RNY surgery. Well I called the doc officee on Monday Aug. 17th and found out they had not yet subnitted the request to the insurance company yet. Come to find out they were waitring for our doctor to send them weight and history for 2007 and back. They didnt bother to call us and find out that we had seen different docotrs in 2007.

My partners request has now been sent in. My previous doc is putting my records in mail to the surgeon today, Friday Aug. 21.

I know it will be worth the wait when it is done. Just gets rather fusturating when people don't do thier jobs. Guess I just needed to vent.

I know the feeling and I sympathize. And you're right...why can't people just do their jobs?!?!

Sadly, I went through a lot with my surgeon too. It took them 7 weeks to send my psych eval to my insurance for approval! 7 weeks! I called everyday! My surgery could have been 7 weeks earlier than it is ... but what can you do besides force them to do their jobs? I called the place I had the psych eval test and asked them to fax it again and again, and I went TO my surgeons office with a copy, I did all the leg work. I WANTED MY RNY! LOL. Keep on them! Let them know how bad you want this surgery. Make them get their **** together!

You've got to keep on top of stuff like that!!  Keep bugging them to make sure they did it.
