houston meetings/ clothing exchanges

hey everyone,

i just moved to houston from miami and i'm looking for work and trying to settle into my new place. when i went through all my clothes i have a full laundry bag of ones that don't fit, they're from sizes 14-22, so i was just wondering if there are any organized clothing exchanges or something around here. i also would love to me fellow OH people. i'm 22 and i just graduated from college and i'm looking into law school.

Are you going to the OH Conference in Dallas in Sept? If so take your clothes along for the big swap. If not....have you found a local support group yet? Maybe someone there could use them. Sean heads ours in Pasadena, he's also in charge of the clothing swap at the conference so I'm sure he'd be glad to take them off your hands.

welcome, welcome, welcome....  to houston and to the texas message board.  thre are several houston meetings....  the one's i know about are in katy and pasadena.  the katy meeting meets on the first thursday of each month.  watch the board for meeting posts.  i also go to a support group at drs. davis. dr. robert did my hernia repair, but my rny was done by dr. syn in lubbock.  It meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.  what part of houston do you live in?   hope you decide to join us for the oh conference in dallas.  you can stay with friends...  you do miss out on some of the fellowship if you don't stay at the hotel, but the way i look at it is, you get to be with oh friends and old friends all in the same weekend!  and, it's much easier on the wallet!!!  so, plan to come and do whatever you need to do!!!  (be sure to get a discount code... )
