After our spontaneous chat last night - thanks Tawnya -  we have decided to have a BTB challenge day tomorrow.  We want to get back to how we ate in the beginning and see how it feels.  So here's the challenge for one day - tomorrow, Wednesday..

Eat only lean meats and green leafy vegetables for the day!

Get in ALL of your water! (80 oz or more)

All vitamins in for the day!

That's it!  Simple?  Maybe not so much..  If we can do it one day, then who knows what we can do.

Tawnya, please chime in here and help me out with more info.  I am on limited time and access to OH during the day.

Wednesday night we will chat about it and see how we are doing.

so who's up for the challenge??? Sign up and I will make a list at the end of the day.

I'm in.  Becky and gang this is what my surgeon had us do shortly after surgery.  Our program included the following:

Chicken, Turkey, Lean Beef, Shrimp, Crab, Tuna and other fishes, lean pork.  (I'm sure I'm missing something)

Broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, brussel sprouts, cucumbers.  He didn't allow green beans (any beans in fact) but they are fine for us.

The challenge is ON, let's get BTB together, it's always easier when we have the support of our friends.

I'm also going to add 1 protein shake with water.

Edited to add:  I knew I wasn't including everything.....don't forget lean deli meats.  Okra is an ok veggie also.....as I think of more I'll update this.  I know I have the sheet from surgery somewhere but can't put my hands on it right now.

I'm in with a slight modification, my greens will be cooked.  My system simply cannot handle raw veggies.

And with that being said, if this is not within your doctor's plan, you're not on solids yet or there is any other medical condition, please check with your doctor before participating.  We are not professionals.

The debrief chat wil be Wednesday night at 8pm via the portal on DFW Supports group page.   The Chat button is on the right side of the screen.  Instructions are in a sticky at the top of the discussion board.

Best of luck to you all and remember, you can do ANYTHING for just one day.  But, hopefully this is what some of us need to pick up momentum and motivation to get back to basics.

I will do it with the addition of protein drinks and raw veggies for snacks (I will eat carrots and radishes for "crunch").  I'm headed to the freezer to take out a London Broil right now.

Count me in too Becky.   I probably won't be able to do the chat but I will do the challenge.  After everyone talking about the Beck Diet Solution....I went out yesterday and bought that book.    I want to get this little bit of weight off that I have put on and quit yo yo-ing with it.    I am going to Colorado next week so I will get in lots and lots of exercise.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

Sorry I missed the chat last night, hopefully I can pop on Wed.  I'll be praying for all of you guys and will be happy to be a cheerleader to you.  Right now I've got to focus on protein and complex carbs so my focus will be a little different.  However, I really appreciate the support and accountability here.

I'm definitely up for the challenge of staying on track and honest about where I'm at and what I'm doing.

Hello Becky,

I have basically been doing this with a few cheat exceptions here and there. However, I commit to doing this tomorrow along with everyone else with no small cheats.

ok doing this but modified(for my needs) - this is close to what I have been doing this week so far n I do feel so much better - part of that is the scale going down part is lack of junk carbs that I know are not needed - got to add in protien shakes n work on my vits - having a hard time getting the midday n bedtime ones in
Home is where the army allows me to live with my husband

I know what I need to do - I have to choose to take care of me or I choose to fail

Good for you Danni.  Glad to know your plan is working!!

We talked some about Vits last night, too.  One suggestion was to use the alarm feature on your cell phone.  If that loud annoying beeper is going off, chances are we might get up to turn it off and go take those vits while we're doing it.  Just a thought....
