BA vits are a waste of money. I started with them and within 6 months I was deficient in B1, B12, D and zinc. It's insane that they cost so much for crap.

At about a year and a half out, I started on Vitalady's regime for DSers and I've had perfect labs since.

Since you are waiting for a date, make sure to check with your doctor as to what vitamins he suggests.  Each doc is different.  My doc told me not to waste my money on the BA vitamins.  The first couple of months I used the Flintstones vitamins.  Some people say you shouldn't because we are not kids.  Me personally, I feel my doctor knows what he is talking about.  After a couple of months, I used BA samples that I had aquired.  After they were done, I went to a vitamin store and got some a little less expensive than BA.  When I last went to the doctor he asked me if I wanted to save some money.  He said Centrum Silver for Men would be just fine for me.  So that is where I am going once I am done with the ones I am taking now.

My Dr. does recommend BA. He also said any of the brand name bariatric specific vitamins in chewable or liquid would be fine for the first 6 mo until my pouch healed. After that I could decide if I wanted to use others.

Since he is the one you are paying, I would follow his advice.
