The NIGH****CHMAN - Sunday - 8/16
I started a new section with the NW. It will be for upcoming surgeries and I will automatically remove the names after the surgery is completed.
Anonymous prayers for the friend of a TMBer, who is very troubled at this time. I have been in touch with the TMBer and prayers are still needed.
Prayer requests are listed below.
Also, please feel free to just visit here. Tell us about how your day went. Your successes. Your failures. Your fun. Whatever. When I post this thread, I do not have access to any chat programs, so this sometimes substitute as that vessel for me.
Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness. Please thank God for these men and women every day. In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
Good weekend here. Met up with some friends I haven't seen in years this afternoon. We went to watch Jo-el Sonnier, awesome Cajun music, and man can that guy play the squeeze box IEEEEEEEEE!
Started getting my tote bag ready for work tomorrow, water, CL packets, notebook, pencil, pen... still need to pack up some turkey and cheese so all I have to do in the morning is toss it in. Need to get back in a routine since school starts the 24th and I'll have to have DD's stuff ready also, so I have a week to practice! She's not going to be happy, she's going to have to ride the bus from my house to school since I have to be at work by 7 am. This will be the first time since she started school, that I won't be able to drop her off. I'm sure everything will work out just fine.
Prayers for all of the spoken and unspoken requests. Prayers for all that are hurting tonight for what ever reason.
Blessings to all.

I think the new surgeries section is perfect! Once surgery is over, you can transition them to the other area as they are healing. That's why we have our fav Nigh****chman....always takin' care of us!!!
Paul had his physical not too long ago....mostly all good except for that dreaded cholesterol. So, since he won'****ch what he's eating, I have to be the bad guy and watch for him. On Saturday he told me to just heat up one of the leftover grilled hot dogs we had from a few days ago. I said, "what do you want on it"...he replies, "just mustard and pickle". I went to shut the garage door when he popped it back open and said, "oh, and cheese". I just smiled. When I brought it to him, he looked at it and said, "it only has mustard and pickle, where's the cheese"? I said, "it's a hot dog, you don't NEED cheese on it, plus, you are eating Italian food tonight for dinner which will have plenty of cheese - you don't get it twice in one day." OMG, the look I got. Oh well, that's what has to be done though. I told him that is the only way that darn number is going to go down. Heaven knows he gets enough exercise but the cheese and the meats he eats is what gets him. He has to have that cholesterol test run again in three months so we'll see if it goes down any. I told him I cannot hold his hand there at work so will have to use good judgement when he goes out to lunch, which he does usually 3-4 times a wk. Of course, if he took his lunch all the time, he wouldn't have to work so hard because I'd make sure he didn't have too much fatty stuff. I told him that his numbers are up based on what he's eating at work because I only use extremely lean ground meat when I even use ground meat. Most of the time it is chicken and since I can't handle it fried, it's usually grilled or baked. He'll learn....
