I need an intervention.  I just consumed a 1/2 cup of carmel popcorn and that is a no no.  I could not resist it.  Please send me some ideas on what you do to satisfy the sweet tooth or the craving for chocolate.

Breathe first.  Yes, it isn't a very wise choice, many of us have made choices that aren't always the best that's a given.

What surgery did you have, when?  Ideas for sweet tooth cravings ...... how about s/f pudding with a dollop of cool whip.

Go to bariatriceating.com and there's a section of recipes to look at.  with Splenda available for cooking, there's lots of things you can make for a sweet tooth.  Just remember they all have calories too!

Egg Face has a lot of recipes.  I'm not sure of her website, but I bet if you do a search for Egg Face recipes you'll find it.

Best wishes.  Put down the caramel corn and step away.  You'll be glad later that you did.

Its okay - don't freak or it will make it worse........................just know that that wasn't the best decision.........but it will be okay................

I do the Atkins - chocolate shakes for my chocolate cravings...........and well - I'll be 2 yrs out in October..............when I want something now..........I just go for it..............I get rid of that "craving" and then get back on track the next meal.

Yes SF fudgsicles, SF chocolate puddings..............GREAT choices...................they are really yummeo too...............

The person who never has a setback is rare.  You stopped at a 'normal' serving and that is important.

I satisfy my sweet tooth with Atkin's Daybreak bars.  They are sweet (several with chocolate) , small enough to encourage portion control, and between 120 and 150 calories.  The chocolate caramel peanut nougat Atkins Indulge Bar has 170 calories.  It reminds me of a snickers but I find it sweeter.  Each has 10g protein so its not all empty calories.  Be careful in your selection as some have no protein (but still lc) and others are over 200 calories and on the large side .

When out I keep a snack on me at all times.  Weighed and portioned if it did not come in individual servings.  I try to keep two in the car and two in my purse plus a scoop of protein powder and a travel cup to mix it in.
Also, keep a sugar free mint like Altoids (the tiny tin is sf) in your pocket.

I'd never be able to leave home without cheating if I did not take precautions.

You'll be ok.  You stopped yourself before it got out of hand.

The 2-miniute microwave chocolate protein cakes are a good fix...quick to make, easy to clean up.  Go to eggfaces' website and look for chocolate cake.  I do a dolop of cool whip on top.  Yummy and my husband will eat two slices for my one so we get two nights of sweets out of the deal.

I weighed 313 pounds on December 1, 2008 the day of my RNY surgery and have lost 81%
of my excess body weight to-date.                                        Current as of November 1, 2009

Thank You to all for the words of encouragement.  I will try some of the things listed here.  The one thing I do agreee with is that we have to plan if we want to keep from cheating or making un wise choices.  Everything is a concious choice.
