Saturday WLS Express
I'm so excited to go to San Antonio today. I haven't been to a professional conference in 2 years because I had to stop traveling for a while to be here for Chris, so it will be good to see folks I haven't seen in a long time-if I recognize them and them me! Its been over 3 years since I've been to this particular conference so I was pre-surgery the last time. I have every confidence that Bryan and Chris will have a great time -guy time-while I'm gone. They're talking about seeing a movie and other stuff. Last night I dug up my old HS year books and I have a box of letters from my friend Nicole sent to me when she moved away after HS. It will be a blast to go through them all with Nicole today!
Gina-hope you had a blast on vacation. Michelle-hope the tummy is better today. Lynette-hope you all have a great time tonight! One day I'll make it to Petes-always wanted to go. Take care and have a great day everyone!
Good Morning Alissa & TMB,
I have to go sometime today/tomorrow to pick up his school supplies. Yesterday was the first day back at school and I refuse to be out there with every one else trying to get the supplies. I plan on cleaning out my son's closet and getting rid of old clothes that he can no longer fit. I also plan to go out dancing tonight with my BF and I am really looking forward to that. Alissa, I hope you enjoy your trip to San Antonio reconnecting with old friends. Make it a great day everyone.
People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas. ~Author Unknown
Good morning all!! I'm baaaaaack!!! Hard to believ I survived all those those days with NO computer, but I DID it. The beach was FABULOUS, the hotel was FABULOUS, the pools were FABULOUS, the people were FABULOUS, the food was FABULOUS, the margaritas were FABULOUS..and I still somehow managed to sleep at 12 HOURS a night...no joke...I guess the sun and fun just wiped this ole broad out. I'm glad to be home to y'all..missed you madly..have LOTS of catching up to do, no doubt.
On my way out the door this morning for Joshua High School football "media day", when all the pictures, etc get done. We'll be doing the "senior mom" pic-where we wear our player's jersey and the pic goes in the yearbook, etc. Me and one other mom and have had our boys together in football since Kindergarten.. and several of us have been together since first grade..kinda bittersweet, but I wouldn't miss it for ANYTHING. I did this a couple of years ago with Corbin, but I wasn't as close to those moms, as I am to these. I'm just glad I have BIG kids, so the jersey will go over my bazookas!!
After that we have to shop for car insurance..oh joy...opened the envelope yesterday, when I got home, and the premium had DOUBLED...they wanted $700 premium renewal and over $500 a month...I cried...I know having a 20 and 17 yr old male driver sux, but PLEASE...I think we're gonna have to fix the policy where they can ONLY drive their own vehicles-the beat up ones...gonna do SOMETHING..can't pay more insurance than car payments!!
Then..FUN tonight with LYNNETTE for her BIRTHDAY!!! and a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my bestest friend, PRINCESS TRACEY, too !!
Oops..the grouch is hollaring..must be tine to go..hope everyone has a FUN day!!
I LOVE Y'ALL AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!!

I understand on the car insurance...with just our 3 vehicles and travel trailer it doubled too to 359 a month...whew...a lot! If Ben goes on to a professional school after college we'll be footing the bill until he turns 25, so I sure don't see it getting any better for a LONG time.
