OT - OMG I love my new bike!!

I have been waiting very impatiently for my new bike to arrive (waiting is not my strong suit!)  It finally came in and hubs and I took it out to the lake.  I was able to go around the lake TWICE (20 miles!) and faster than I have ever ridden!!  And it is soooo, comfortable...much more so than my old trek that weighed twice as much and rattled my teeth out, because it was so bumpy!

I am so excited!!  I can't wait to really get going and join hubs for his long rides and I am sure that this will help the weight melt off!!

Here she is, if anyone is interested...http://www.jamisbikes.com/usa/thebikes/road/ventura/09_venturaracef.html

Nice bike, you should bring it to Hotter N Hell on the 29th... I look forward to seeing you out on the trail.

I've heard about that...some guys in my husband's riding group have been talking to him about it...I can't imagine riding with 12000 people...

I did it last year for the first time right after surgery and it was fun. Lots of stuff to do and see at the event. The start is staggered so as not to be to hecktic but it was a blast. I am doing it again this year and will be glad to see how much I have improved over last years time.
