The NIGH****CHMAN - Weekend edition - better late than never

Good morning folks.  Sorry 'bout the late edition (or early edition, depending on how you look at it).

Yesterday was extremely busy for me.  Went to the circus in the morning with all 6 grandkids.  Then, instead of going home, we went to the AT&T store to get me a new phone.  I picked up the IPhone and thought I would like what I got.  Spent about 90 minutes there before finally making a decision and leaving.  Bottom line, Mary is at AT&T returning it for me this morning.  The gal that sold it to me did not practice truth in sales.  I want LIVE TV on my cell phone (which I had with my VU) and can not find a way to do it with the IPhone.

Anyway, after that, made a quick stop at the house to get food and drinks for the ball game.  Went out to the Ballpark and by the end of the night felt like I had just taken a shot to the belly.  Completely deflated after the meltdown.  Rangers lost.

Went home, and got on the computer for a few minutes.  Was all set to come here and start the thread and got distracted by Big Brother After Dark.

So, here goes.  Have not even looked at the board yet to see if there was an update on Elizabeth.

Anonymous prayers for the friend of a TMBer, who is very troubled at this time.  I have been in touch with the TMBer and prayers are still needed.

Prayer requests are listed below.

Also, please feel free to just visit here.  Tell us about how your day went.  Your successes.  Your failures.  Your fun.  Whatever.  When I post this thread, I do not have access to any chat programs, so this sometimes substitute as that vessel for me.

Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness.  Please thank God for these men and women every day.  In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.

Morning George,

I had a great day yesterday!  Would you please remove my name from the job prayer requests.  I start my new job Monday morning, it's only 15 minutes from my house.
I am so excited!

Prayers for all of the spoken and unspoken requests.  Special prayers continue for Elizabeth Grace, I have not seen any new updates.

Blessings to all,
Avis

Tonight is the very first time, I've taken the time to read the Nigh****chman's post.  How powerful...I'm in awe at the support and the message of fellowship.  Wow.... I suppose everything happens in time...although I've seen your post a zillion times, just never opened it.

Well I'd like to humbly ask to be added to your prayer request for an uneventful revision surgery on August 19th at Pine Creek Medical Center.

Thank God for the Texas Message Boards and all that it offers.

Hey there....
Did some cleaning of the living room this afternoon after the girls and I got back from church.  Need to do a little each weekend before the puppy gets here in a month.  I got a new pix from the breeder but have no idea how to post it within a post so can't show ya' all.  He's definitely a little peanut right now but by the time we take him home, he'll be normal "puppy size" for a schnauzer!

Both older girls get the day off tomorrow for high school tennis, but still have to finish out a couple sessions at the club so it works out good for them to go tomorrow afternoon.  Of course, right in the midst of the day - 2:30 until 5:00 but they are conditioned well and can handle the heat.  Both of them take Potassium supplements so that reallllly helps to cut down on cramping of their leg muscles.  Both of them also drink a gallon of water, literally, during the practices.

Got all of the school supplies bought now for Sarah.  I can't buy anything for the girls' classes as they will find out on their first day on the 24th what each individual teacher wants.  Of course then you have to fight the crowds that first night but the girls are getting much better at it...during lunch they call me to let me know what each class needs and then again RIGHT after school is over - I head to the store before the kids even get out so don't have to fuss with lines.  Works better than standing in lines for hours at Office Depot!!!

Ok, gotta run....dinner is almost done.  Grilled some chicken, now just roasting small thumbnail sized potato chunks that I mixed with some olive oil and spices.  Surprisingly the girls ALL like it that way!  Usually they are picky but like how it tastes so munch it down pretty fast.

Check back with ya' later!
