Julie and Julia-movie review

Since several people asked, I'll give you my opinion on the movie...Two Thumbs UP!!  Both Hailey and I really liked it.  I think you would appreciate it more if you're a "foodie" by nature and especially if you ever watched Julia on TV.  Meryl Streep is great in the role of Julia Childs.  It was warm, touching, funny and insightful and paid tribute to a true legend.  I recommend it.

But don't go BEFORE you eat!

I am taking my 90 year old mother, her 85 year old sister (who is coming in from England) to see it in a couple of weeks. I am excited to hear it is good....
As for eating before hand - my mother - despite her age - makes sure ANY guest in her house is well fed....(Explains one of the many reasons I ended up being obese!!!)

It looks really cute. If Michael ends up in ATL next week, maybe I'll go catch a cheap matinee one day. Otherwise, I'll wait until it shows up in the RedBox.

I loved it!! I used to watch Julia all the time on our local PBS station.  Me and my hubby went and saw it and he even liked it!  She was quite a character!

Saw it Saturday...it was very good, although you really have to read the book!

I usually read the book first and then I'm disappointed in the movie, so this time I saw the movie first.  Hmmm, now to go find a copy of the book...

Yeah, the book is great!  I read it last summer way before I knew about the movie, or else I would have waited til after I saw the movie.
