The NIGH****CHMAN - Monday 8/10
Initially Heather called me saying she and V would have to play each other. I thought, "oh boy, this ought to be one heck of a "collision" course in the making", but evidentally last minute, the coach said, "nahhh, I don't think I want the two sisters playing each other..." and picked different people for each of them to play. Thank goodness! Eventually they probably WILL have to play each other though. V already did once and beat Heather 8-2. Heather has quite the attitude issues with her sister beating her but I told her "you get out of it what you have put into it so I don't want to hear ONE WORD if she ends up higher than you"!!! She knows EXACTLY what I am talking about (i.e. she not wanting to hit the gym like V does...). V also has a much better outlook - she really couldn't care less what position she plays, she just wants to play, so she goes out there completely relaxed and does her thing. Heather stresses herself out trying to drill in her head she just HAAAAS to beat whoever she is playing, over-analyzes everything and then it ends up rattling her nerves. But then again, Heather is like a 9 on the stress meter where V sits down there around the 2 mark all the time!!!

Not much new here. Spent a couple of hours at the County Health Dept, getting DD's shots updated for this next school year (I will just leave it as it was an interesting experience), school schedule pick up starts at 8 am in the morning. Hoping we don't have to change any classes. Registered for a job fair that starts at 11 am. Need to read the updated list of participants to see if it is worth the drive.

Thanks sweetie. I had a complete panic attack when Michael booked my ticket this morning, but now, I'm starting to get excited about seeing some close friends and reconnecting with some I haven't seen in 10+ years. And I'll get to go see my grandmother on Sunday afternoon, too, so that will make the trip worth it.
