GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CAN NOT CHANGE; COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS THAT I CAN; AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE !!!! THIS IS MY DAILY PRAYER.

Pre-op I lost a lot of weight on a high-fat, low carb Atkins diet, a low calorie WW diet but NEVER on a low-fat diet. I don't worry about the fat in foods and use real butter and eat full fat dressings. I can only eat a small amount anyway, so I want to enjoy it. The lower fat dressings and other foods sometimes have a higher sugar content, which is worse than the fat in my mind. We do drink 2% milk because I like the taste better. As long as I limit the carbs I do fine.
If I was "queen for a day" I would outlaw high fructose corn syrup altogether! I bet you would see a decrease in the obesity of the general population. One of the things I lke the best of the Kashi products is they contain no HFCS - just cane syrup and honey.
