The NIGH****CHMAN - Weekend Edition

Good afternoon all.  What a day!  Got home at 9:45AM.  Went right to the bedroom.  Fell asleep by 10:15.  My grandkids were at the house and woke me at 12:45.  So I am operating on 2 1/2 hours sleep.  I am at my part time job, and have already decided I am going home early.  Supposed to wor****il 9, but I will leave before 8.  The boss already knows and he is cool with it.

Busy weekend, so I don't know how much I will be around.  I intend to be in bed by 1 AM.  Even though I am leaving early, my body does not let me go to sleep early.  So I will go  home and lay down with the remote in my hand (the Rangers come on at 9PM).

Anonymous prayers for the friend of a TMBer, who is very troubled at this time.

Prayer requests are listed below.

Also, please feel free to just visit here.  Tell us about how your day went.  Your successes.  Your failures.  Your fun.  Whatever.  When I post this thread, I do not have access to any chat programs, so this sometimes substitute as that vessel for me.

Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness.  Please thank God for these men and women every day.  In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.

PEOPLE SEEKING EMPLOYMENT:

Anne and her spouse

Jen Ewald - hoping for a traveling position to open up shortly

Karen (Misty750342002) - A friend of Karen's from work (who is like a son to her), Dustin Murphy, is 24 years old and has been diagnosed with Hodgkins Disease.  He has completed chemo and is starting radiation treatment.

Lalocaweta asks for prayers for her spouse as he seeks employment elsewhere since his company appears to be closing it's doors.  Also she is seeking part time employment.

Lindaybarnett  requests prayer for her 87 year old mother.  She is in ICU.  Fluid in her lungs and around her heart and  heart enzymes are too high.  She is in Atlanta.

Meggie - friend Nancy is in assisted living home and is on her last days.  Pray for Meggie's family also as they try to fight through this.

Robin S. requests prayer for her son Tyler who is on his liquid diet, with WLS scheduled for 8/4.

Vanessa (ButterflyReborn) asks for prayers for her family.

Vicki V.  - husband Patrick has Ataxia and Neuropathy of the left side.  Which basically means he has virtually no feeling in his left leg and foot. Experiencing fatigue.

Below are two of God's children that definitely need our prayers.  These are two specific cases, we know there are others out there.  Remember them too.

Gina J. - Pray for her 6 year old Marina, diagnosed with a terminal illness at age 2. She has improved, but still needs our prayers.  Pray for this brave little girl.

Vanessa - We have all followed the story of Elizabeth.  Here is her Caringbridge page:

Geez....I thought I'd be "late"...everyone must be out having fun!  I've got two kiddos and one BIG kiddo (hehehe) already asleep.  Paul is getting up early tomorrow as Heather has her last driver's ed class.  I had her drive home from the class - only had to holler at her once to STOP!!!!!!!  That girl will sometime learn that when I say "STOP", I want her to hit the brake and STOP, not just let off the gas!  She pulled out of the parking lot just as the same time another car turned off the main street onto the side street we were on and of course she was on her way to a fire so was MOVIN'!  Heather just putt-putted out of the driveway so since she didn't hit the gas, I had to tell her to stop to let the lady go in front of us.  Heather just let up on the gas so had I not told her to stop, she would have hit her.  UGH.  She got a bit discombobulated turning into our subdivision, too.  This driving thing is gonna take a lonnnnnnng time!

So anyway, he'll probably let her drive to the driving school, then he will run across the way to the gym.  I think Sarah said she wanted to go (she likes the play area) so if she's up, he'll take her, too.  She was asleep by 9:15 so she will definitely be up and ready to go in the morning!  Heather needs to be there by 8:30 and should be done by 10:00-10:15.  Perfect!!!  We have to leave for our little trek up to Huffman to go see all the schnauzer pups by around 10:45 or so.  The lady wants us to be up there around noon.  Fine by me!  I'm hoping their little eyes will be open but still may be too early.  They will only be two weeks old this coming Monday so I have a feeling most will still have their eyes closed.  We'll soon see though!

Ok, time to go find my allergy meds.  Man, the eyes are watering tonight!!!

Don't envy you with the teenaged driver in your house.  The only thing worse will be when you have two.
