YES it's Friday, woo hoo!  Carol, I am with you.....it's time for school to start.  My boys are getting bored and they call me ALL DAY at work.  I finally had to silence my cell phone yesterday because I have to finish up some projects before I go on vacation.

OK Carol,

Here's the puppy advise.  If she's gonna sleep with you, she will learn to move.  Don't worry about squishing her.  I sleep like a rock and have never squished one yet and you know how many animals I have.  LOL.  Try not to fret it and get a good nights sleep.

YIKES!!!  We're getting a puppy here soon ourselves.  I really didn't want to go back to that scene simply because momma is swamped as it is, then to add THAT to my day...sigggh.  Anyway, moms will do just about anything for their kids and if this will get my kiddo off her butt and busy with playing, walking the dog, etc. then it's worth it.  It has been FOREVER though that I had to deal with "puppiness" so for this time while he is with his litter mates, I'm going to concentrate on "baby proofing" everything so getting anything and everything off the floor that it can chew.  I will be using a crate a lot though because there is no way I will allow him to run free in this big ol' house unsupervised while going through the housebreaking and "toddler" phase!  It's waaay too hot in the car, even with the AC on, to bring them along, too, so they are just safer at home.  Plus, I don't think a puppy crawling all over a person in a car is a safe way to drive either.  Just about as bad as all the issues with the cell phones and driving!  I think this new little boy will be best in his own crate though for a while at night.  Right now he is so teenie tiny!!!

Crate training is the way to go and even though it means multiple crates along the way, use a size appropriate crate.  It's much more effective.  Good luck.

Signed,

Your local animal freak. ; )

im very in favor of crate training. Its as much for you as for the baby - not safe to let them roam thru the house when they are puppies like that. They can get into everything - just like a human baby!

Good morning train riders...let me start by thanking Mr Clay for setting his alarm to go off at 6AM on our first day of VACATION!!!   Dang I wanted to sleep until at least 8:00.

I have the construction guys coming about 8 again this morning to start laying the new floors.  Got all the painting and sheetrock work done yesterday.  So far so good but my house is a mess with stuff everywhere.

We're off to Galveston in an hour or so.  I'm leaving Hailey in charge of the construction crew, yikes, I'm crazy but I really need this vacation.  Looking forward to some surf and sun, a little fishing and some good food.  Terry, I'll let you know when we get there.  Let me know what your schedule looks like for the weekend.

Taking the laptop so I'll be checking in.  Those of you going to the "Back to School" dinner, have a great time and make sure you talk about me so I'll feel loved.

Careful driving there and back....most importantly have FUN!  If you're hittin' the beach, don't forget that sunscreen.  I swear, I think I could get a sunburn just running out to get the mail in this heat!  BLAH!

Good morning.   I'm off to the park to walk in a few minutes.  I have to finish my 3 Aggie bags this morning and work on another shirt if I have time.  Tomorrow I'll be gone most of the day.

Ben has to get packed and I'll have to remind him of what to take for Aggie Fish Camp.  He has to leave by 6:00 a.m. tomorrow for CS.

Prayers for all who need them.  Liz...maybe we need to PRAY you sleep girl...I don't see how you do it on no sleep.

Dana and Steph...enjoy your vacations on the beach...I know you'll both have a relaxing and fabulous time!

Have a great Friday.

Karla
