The Doctor just came in, and the surgery went as well as it possibly could have.  There was very little bleeding, and she did not have to put in a monitor or a drain.  From what she saw, she believes this is aespergillus.  The infection was deeper than she could get to, but the risk of paralyzing Elizabeth was greater.      Biopsies have been sent off.  Elizabeth should be back in ICU soon, and the family will be able to visit with her.  We are very grateful to be here right now, and thankful for what they did for her this morning.  Will update more later.
PRAY without ceasing.

I forgot the stupid grocery list so I made a quick run back home after the doctor appointment -- did a quick check and had this:

Elizabeth is now in surgery at Le Bonheur Hospital.   The neurosurgeon will remove the right frontal lobe of her brain.  We just received an update from the OR to advise that the procedure began at 12:30, and should take about 2 hours, give or take.  Her vitals are good at present.  Please continue to say the Novena, and keep believing.  Will update once we know more.  God bless Elizabeth Grace.

I have two sides to my brain - a right side and a left side.  The trouble is sometimes there is nothing left in the right side and nothing right in the left side.

Vanessa, this is so sad. I have kept up with Elizabeth since the very first post that you put on here. She has gone through so much. My heart goes out to Michelle,DJ,and the boys. When I see that I have a caringbridge e-mail my heart just aches. I have been praying for the Lord's will to be done with this precious child. I had her put on our prayer hotline today. She has alot of people praying for her. Thanks for the update.

Hugs Donna
