Surgery at Memorial Hermann Memorial City

Are you allowed to have overnight guests?   I think my husband wants to spend the night with me at the hospital, but I dont know if overnight guests are allowed.  Are all the bariatric surgery patients in the same area?   I know it is your insurance that dictates a private or semi private room, but how can you find out and how can you upgrade if you are in a semi-private room?  Someone said it is possible, and if the cost is minimal... you get bet your butt I will upgrade if I have to.  Also, do they have wireless internet in the patient rooms?  

I have never been in the hospital, so I dont really know what to expect.  My mom went to UGH, but that is a boutique hospital and I dont know how different they are from the regular hospitals. 

i had my surg there 3 years ago. Yes i had overnight guests, yes all the bariatric surg patients were in the same area and yes i had a private room.  Yes they had wireless internet at that time but i wasnt interested lol.

I had my surgery 10 months ago and my husband was allowed to spend he night with me, no problems.  He did have to sleep on and uncomfortable little chair, but they let him stay.  You'll have a private room.  Not sure about the internet, can't remember.

 I had my RNY done on July 21, 2009, at Memorial Hermann Memorial City. You are allowed overnight guest, my husband stayed the entire time. All rooms are private, and the entire 5th floor is for bariatric care. They do have wireless internet. The staff is wonderful, I really enjoyed my stayed.

Ditto what everyone said....I just spent 2 days there with Sabrenia last week. The private rooms are really nice. The whole 5th floor is for surgery, not just bariatric, but you'll see lots of folks out walking around.
