I've got an in-dash 6 CD changer that takes .mp3 formatted CDs. I can put about 120 songs on each CD for about 48 total hours of music. I've made the drive so many times since July 1, I've listened to everything and told Michael I need to burn some new CDs this weekend.

His car has a line in so I can just plug my iPhone in, put it on shuffle and let it pick from the 1250 songs I have on it. It would be about $100 to add one to my car, so it's on the list of things I want once I have a job.

Sounds pretty neat.  Something I would consider if I did not have XM.  But I love me some baseball, so XM it is for me.

I had XM in my old car. I miss it, but I would've had to cancel it when I lost my job anyway.

It wasn't offered in this car...there was only one "input" and Saturn decided to use it for OnStar instead of XM.

With your travels, ONSTAR was probably a better choice for you.

Well, right now I have it deactivated to cut back on expenses. I'll add it back on once I secure employment.

Not much new here, very tired could not sleep last night...  went to bed at 5 am this morning for a few hours.  I hope no one has passed on their insomniac bug to me, cause I don't want it!!  Applied for a couple of jobs, need to hit the job boards again before I turn in.  Caught up with two friends that I haven't talked to in eons, it was good to just hear their voices!

Prayers for all of the spoken and unspoken requests.  Praises for Dana's sister being home and enjoying her smoothie!

My dad has XM in his truck and it was up for renewal.  He was able to do a lifetime renewal for like $300 which was a deal he couldn't pass up!!!  None of our vehicles have it.  Paul probably could have gotten it in his car but didn't.  I will be the next one in line for the new car as the girls will probably get my Suburban and I'll be picking out a new one.  Not for a while though.  OMG, too funny....Paul picked up the girls tonight from high school tennis practice and let Heather drive home.  Viktoria always likes to point out Heather's shortcomings in driving which I told her soon enough it will be her turn so she'd better shut up, plus, no one likes a backseat driver so again, shut up.  Anyway, Heather turned into our subdivision and then needed to turn onto one street that leads to ours.  Well, to turn onto the second street, it's like a 90 degree angled turn so you really have to take it slow, ESPECIALLY if someone is there waiting to turn out onto the main artery road into the subdivision.  Weeeelll, luckily no one was there as Mario Andretti decided it wasn't necessary to slow down and tried taking a 90 degree angled turn at about 20 to 25 mph!  Paul had to grab the wheel because of course she couldn't do it in my Suburban (maybe in a smaller car but SHE shouldn't be doing that in ANY car) and screamed at her to take her foot off the gas.  Paul said he knows his blood pressure shot straight up.  The funny part... Viktoria's face was white as a ghost!  hehehe...  of course when she came in, the first thing out of her mouth was, "Heather almost killed us"....  .......oh how I hate this process!!!!!!! 

If I had the money I would pay the lifetime.  Right now I pay them $300 a year, but that is for my car and my office.  So, I guess the lifetime in each would be $600.  Not so sure it would be a good deal, if you believe what you read on the internet about the potential future of satellite radio.

I think mom said it was something like $175 a year or maybe $199 so he figures even if it only lasts a couple years, that will be cheaper than paying yearly, plus, he doesn't have to worry about another bill from them!!!  I always laugh at "lifetime" warranties because anymore, it's not a true lifetime warranty of the product but moreso lifetime of the COMPANY because if they are gone, so is the warranty!!!
