Tuesday WLS express
Good morning. I'm waiting on the DirecTV dude to show up. They said between 8:00-12:00...which usually means 2 or 3 o'clock. I'm never the first one in line for the day. It's still pretty quiet w/ no TV on. Yesterday we spent the morning at Lowe's buying a new water heater and going to HEB, Walmart, and the AT & T store. Ben got a new phone and was listening to ESPN clips...he's had ESPN w/drawals since the satellite was out!
I cooked 3 chicken enchilada quiche yesterday afternoon as well as 2 taco casseroles and 3 poppyseed chicken casseroles. I kept out 1 of each and put the rest in the freezer. I needed something to occupy my time.
We got the ho****er heater installed (Ben and my stepdad), so we can take warm showers again...Yeah!
I'll probably make my niece's purse today for her birthday. She requested an A & M wristlet.
Kathy B...you have made a miraculous transformation! You go girl...
You look wonderful and have done a great job w/ your wt. loss.
You should be so proud of yourself.
Prayers for Tyler on his surgery today.
Prayers for Meggie to heal and Rebecca, too.
Have a great Tuesday.

Good Morning, TMB!
I think the tackiest thing ever said was one of my daughters said something like "you are not wearing THAT are you?" Gotta love kids!!!
One more hurdle in the quest to FINISH the house in Galveston - the island piece in the kitchen!! Then, we still have the roof to get fixed, just have to find a roofer with the time and crew in the area long enough to git r done!!
Not much else happening in my world - work, work and more work.
Everyone have a fabulous day - drink lots of water, take your vitamins, eat protein FIRST and exercise!!

Good morning Train Riders! It's starting off to be another great day! Jeff had an interview yesterday that we're pretty sure is going to turn into a 30 hr PT job. They sent him to get a drug test, so I'm pretty sure they want to hire him. He'll keep looking for something FT, but this will pay the bills plus some for now and let him continue his schooling as well. God is definitely good!
Leo is still about the same, his paws are hurting so much he won't walk anywhere. I picked up some Pad Tough from the vet yesterday to hopefully help protect the pads and help them heal. He didn't flinch as much this morning when I sprayed it on, so I'm hoping that's a sign that the sores are closing up. We'll watch him today but if he's still acting funny, not walking and not eating or drinking much by tomorrow he'll be going in to the vet.
I'm started a slightly altered eating schedule yesterday to see if I can lower my intake without messing with the hypoglycemia too much. Previously I'd been eating something about every 2 hrs, sometimes sooner especially in the afternoons. Yesterday I went 3 hrs between meals all day long, and it worked out just fine. My intake was lower than before and even though the afternoon was really hard for me I made it through. I'd really like to lose at least a few pounds before I see my surgeon again in Sept and to do that I'm going to need to both lower my intake and increase my exercise. Today I'm planning on doing 15-20 min on the Elliptical when I get home before dinner.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning All,
I took two Tylenol PM's last night so I slept a little better. Tony (SIL) is keeping the girls till noon for me so I can rest up a little. The trip to La. was harder on me than I thought. Keeping up with Tori 24/7 for 6 days plus I'm old now, wore me out. Naturally I came back when the temp is going to 100 again!! Special prayers for Meggie, Ramon's niece and others who need them this morning. Got to get moving. Y'all have a great day.
Blessings,
Carol
