August Adventure Monday
Our August Adventure continues...what type of adventure are you going on? Make a plan and stick to it as closely as you can.
Yesterday started for me w/ a protein filled brunch...got it all my liquids and doses of protein...had some popcorn last night, but it didn't even taste good to me.
Today's plan:
lots of liquids
at least 2 protein drinks
chicken for lunch w/ red beans and rice
poppyseed chicken for dinner
high protein snack
fruit if needed

Good Morning Karla,
I am getting back to what I need to be doing today. My plan for this week is to low carb to rid my body of the junk I had over the weekend.
People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas. ~Author Unknown
I'm saying goodbye to all rice, potatoes, chips, chocolate, pretzels, bread until I get back to my goal weight.

1. get back to running/walking and lifting weights at least 3 times a week
2. get refocused on proteins first and water/tea only (no sodas, ugh!)
3. get all vitamins/supplements in daily and on schedule
4. figure out how to make deeper friendships so that I have people to turn to instead of food. I find myself still keeping people at a distance and I don't know how to fix that. I have met so many wonderful people in the past year and I love them, but I still keep a wall up. I have no idea why.
I have all my pills in their baggies for the week. I have my meals ready and waiting for me as well as good snacks. Only water and tea in the house. And I'm heading to the gym in just a couple of minutes. Have a great day all!
Started with coffee
B - a peach, Greek yogurt and granola
S - another cup of coffee please!
L - Homemade fish chowder (peppers, onions, potatoes, celery and cod cooked in crushed tomatoes and clam juice)
S - Celery sticks with hummus
D - Ham and cheese roll ups with raw vegetables
I have temporarily dropped the protein shakes from my diet after a flare up of gout in my knee. I'm trying hard to get my protein from real food rather than shakes. That's what my doctor prefers. I need to sit down today and plan my meals for the rest of the week.
