Report on my Ferritin

I went to my dr today and she put me on 3 iron tablets a day. I will go back next month to have it re-checked. She told me today that I will be on iron for a while.

Donna, what did they put you on?  Are you seeing Dr. Storey (is he still doing surgery? or your PCP).  You'll definitely be on iron a long time, you possibly will need to take it for life. 

I'm glad your doc is having you rechecked in a month, that will give you some indication if the iron is going to help or if it'll require something different (other type of iron, infusion, etc.)

I went to my PCP. I'm doing the iron tabs from bariatric advantage. If these don't work then she is gonna do something  different next month. I haven't seen Dr. Storey in 4-5 years. Once I was a year out he released me to go to my PCP. I'm sure if I needed to I could go back to him. She doesn't seem to think that I'm gonna need  any infusions,because I'm not anemic. Yea she said I would have to take some form  of iron from here on out.
