You know I just have not felt right, so while I had Tyler at the surgeons office, I decided to get my levels checked, I had just had them checked a couple of months ago, and went on prescription vita D, Now i am low in Vita d and iron, and several others not to worry about, but the iron and D. I take iron daily as is, why am i low, oh and to mention that it is bariatric advantage. and I take over the counter D. But my b-12 was high i have been taking 2500mcg daily maybe i will have to cut back, the nurse is out of town and will get back with me next week. I have been told that you can feel bad with low vita d and iron, I am almost 3 yrs out and think I will get blood levels checked more frequent than the recommended. Stay on your vitamins

Robin I just went back to my dr today. I will be taking 3 of the 18mg iron tabs with vit C. I'm taking the Bariatric Advantage also. Just started mine. My Ferritin was real low. I'm very faithful on taking my vits. I will be re-checked next month for my Ferritin levels again. Good luck on yours.

Robin, what are your numbers, get a copy they have to give them to you.

What D are you taking, you need DRY D3 which can be purchased at GNC or Vitamin Shoppe but in very little amounts.  I take 20,000 iu of D3 a day and I saw my D drop again at the last labs.  I'm not deficient but will end up there if I can't get it moving the other direction.  I'm actaully about to change it upward again, waiting to reorder from vitalady.

Also on iron, what type are you taking, how much, how often?  What were your numbers?

I have my numbers, they are in the car. I was given prescription vita d last time so I am sure that is what i will get again to get my levels up,  I have seen the D3 at walmart as well. I am waiting for the nurse to contact me to see what to do

Robin my doctor suggested Ferretts IPS liquid iron.  His patients have have alot of success taking it.  I have ordered me some.  My iron dropped from 65 in Dec to 28.  But I don't take iron because it constipates me so bad so this liquid isn't suppose to do that.  You can order it from BA as well.  Remember we all absorb differently so maybe the liquid would work better for you.
