Hi, everyone, Sorry it's been so long, but I'm back.

When I was setting my goals before I started my WLS, one of the thing I wrote down is when I got to my weight goal I would go skydiving.
Well, I am pretty much at my goal, (I am sure I will be once I save up enough to get my PS/ skin removal) and yesterday was my Birthday. So a buddy and I paid for and reserved a spot for Saturday Aug. 15th to jump out of a perfectly good airplane.
I hope some of my WLS family will come watch us do this crazy thing.
It is at 1:00 pm at the North texas Skydiving center in Caddo Mills, Texas approx. 25 min. east of Dallas. The website is:    http://northtexasskydiving.com/   There you can find out all the info,
I am hoping somebody will come and bring a video camera and record this as I come back to earth.
Let me know, Bard

Welcome back Stranger !!!!!
Bard.....Happy Belated Birthday !!!!  Isn't it the strangest thing what we do after our WLS.   LOL    It never seems to amaze me how much confidience that we have and what we will do now that we finally feel like a "normal" person.    Congratulations on the decision to do something that you have always wanted to do.    That should be awesome doing that....but I would NEVER do anything like that.   LOL   Just call me CHICKEN !!!!  LOL   Hope someone will come and video that special moment for you.   Have you spoken to the skydiving center about this????  I bet that they have someone who would do it for a small fee.    Good luck and let us know how WONDERFUL it was !!!!

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

Hey BARD-good to see you-been missing you! While "jumping out of perfectly good airplanes" is not on MY personal bucket list, I will respect that it on YOURS, and wish you will...lol..I bet you give your poor lil mama a heart attack.

Wish I could be there to cheer you on, but am already totally obligated that weekend (will be dragging myself myself back from the beaches of Puerto Rico the day before-part of MY bucket list). I guarantee you that center sells video-even Six Flags does that on the bungee jumping thing (also on my list), and that's way less exciting that what you are going to do.

Kudos to you!!

I would love to join you as skydiving is on my list of must-do items as well.

Unfortunately, I will be having surgery to repair a hernia on the 11th so don't think I will be up to jumping out of a plane on the 15th.

Enjoy yourself and take care!

Husband is going to do it for his birthday in December.
I refuse to do it.
Have a great time.
Wish we could go watch, but that is the weekend of our middle child's 20th birthday....And we have to spend it with him. (Since he seldom spends time w/ us....)

Nice to see you again!  My husband and I did this about 5 years back @ Skydive Dallas it was fun and yes scary!  The free fall is scary, but goes by fast.  That is where the adrenaline is.  When you are just floating down it is nice and relaxing.  I would do it again....Maybe=)
