Monday WLS Express
Crawling on the train, I think it ran over me before I could jump on! Feeling a little groggy today and am certainly glad I had decided to extend my vacation until Wednesday.
We had a pretty full weekend, as usual. I had a *fabulous* time at WinStar on Saturday, then the King and I went to the movies Saturday night. I had a little catnap during the movie! LOL Gangster stuff just isn't my thing, but he enjoyed it.
Sunday we drove to the Brownwood area to look at a deer lease. While the landowner was driving us around the property we saw at least 10 deer on the actual property and many more around the roads leading to it. It's a year round lease, so hopefully King will get to spend plenty of time hunting turkey, hogs and quail, plus deer season to get his (my) money's worth out of it. At least we'll have a "get away" place for the next year anyway. Now, to find the time to GET AWAY!
I generally try to not complain about health related issues on the board because, well, I just don't. Thanks for the recs on ophthamologists. I am having the worst bout of iritis I've ever had. I absolutely cannot see a thing out of my left eye except blurrrrrrrr. I literally can see better with my right eye only than trying to use both. I did snag an appt for 10am tomorrow, hopefully we can get some treatment started right away. Last time it wasn't quite this bad and I ended up getting a shot in the eyeball - YES - IN THE EYEBALL. You know that "stick a needle in my eye" thing when telling the truth - well, been there, done that. I actually hope they will do that tomorrow instead of dilly-dallying around with steroid drops for a month before doing the shot thing. Oh well, whine is over.
Gotta run the King's shirts to the cleaners and make a WalMart run.
On vacation today and tomorrow, all day training on Wednesday, then work from home Thurs-Friday .... should be a good week.
Make it a great day!
You dont ever complain! and i hope your eyeball gets better without a shot in the eyeball!!! OWIE!. and SHARE like you are posta! Geez

Busy, busy weekend! LL & Jon & kids came down to play in the sand with me Saturday then late lunch and coffee and a little shopping on the Strand. Then I went to a live production of Cabaret at the new ETC Theatre across the street from the Tremont House Hotel.
Yesterday was in Houston to see Mom and lil sis and help her move some stuff to her new place. We did a late lunch/early dinner, some grocery shopping on the way home and fell into bed around 11pm.
Nice to be able to run & gun like that and not need a nap or resusitation!!!!
It's going to be a HOT, HOT August!!! Remember your water and vitamins - protein first and exercise!!!

It's still morning for 15 more minutes! I'm spending a quiet morning at home working on my meal plan for the week and my grocery shopping list. DH is in Houston until tomorrow night. He expects to be home for the rest of the week then may have to go back for next week. I'm kind of expecting them to ask him to stay all week. If he goes back next week, I'll go with him. I know he doesn't eat right if I'm not with him.
Having company over the weekend was a good thing. Number one, it forced me to clean my house, including the unused bedrooms. I'd been putting that off for weeks and now it's done. Number two, we had a lot of fun. They have two beautiful children - a 5-year-old boy who is a big baseball fan and can tell you who drives virtually every car in NASCAR and a 3-year-old girl who is a mass of big blue eyes and blond curls and is smart as a whip. It was fun to have little ones in the house.
Now that my house is clean, I have taken my sewing out and will be making some dresses for Ezra. Not that she needs clothes; they got enough clothes at their showers that they probably could dress her until she's 3 or 4 without buying any. I just like sewing for little girls.
My husband has never been crazy about the name Ezra for a girl, so he's taken to calling her Ezrina (rhymes with ballerina). It's so cute and it cracks me up. I'm not sure that her mom is similarly amused though. LOL.
Go out and make it a great day ... drink your water ... dehydration can happen to you and it's not fun.
