Ok, I decided to track my calories this week, just to get an idea what I am eating.  I signed up for a Daily Plate account.  I have been trying to add my food for tomorrow....but the site is just wacky and frustrating.  Is it normally like this, or am I just lucky that it is having issues tonight?

Can't help you on the site but now that you have a picture I do remember  you from Dr Barker's.  Nice pic, thanks for sharing!!

I use Daily Plate.  What issues are you having?

I have never tried to add a food to a future date, but I just did it with no problem.  It is kind of a pain since the only defaults are "today" and "yesterday" so you have to type the date in each time, but it works.

I never liked the DP...not very user friendly at all. I use My Fitness Pal...www.myfitnesspal.com/  To me it's simple to use, has thousands of foods in the data base and you can add what you can't find. The data base does have lots of food added by the members so you'll come across entried that just aren't accurate or don't have complete info but on the other hand you'll see things you never would expect to find...like local stuff. On each search if the food is accurate you can check a box confirming the info so you can alwasy check the confirmations to be sure you're getting the right info.

If you need any help, I'll try!

Let's see, I try to food for tomorrow, and even though I put tomorrow's date, it just reverts back to today and doesn't add the food to either day.  Also, I made a 'meal' and tried to put .5 of the meal for breakfast and then .5 for lunch.  It shows the half meal for both breakfast and lunch, but it includes the full calories for bf and lunch.

Hey girlfriend -- that IS a great pic!  Hope you are doing well.  Statistics course is over as of tonight, thank God.  Maybe the four of us could have dinner one night in the next couple of weeks.

Unfortunately I can't help you with DP.  I too found it nearly impossible to use and gave up.  But I am probably too lazy to have stuck with it for long anyway.  My "planning" consists of always having healthy snack foods at home (Greek yogurt, fruit), at work (peanut butter, string cheese, protein bars), and in my purse (protein bars) so that I have a good alternative to eating junk.  It's worked so far ...

LOL!!  You just think that because the two times that you have seen me it was 8am on Sunday and I had rolled out of bed 10 min earlier and barely washed my face...I clean up pretty good...and I chopped off my hair :-0

I am only going to track my food for a couple of days to get an idea of how I am doing.  This is the first time in the two months since my surgery that I am tracking.

I use sparkpeople.com and it's very user friendly.  It keeps all your favorites in one place so you can just click to add.  I can even do 1/3 of a serving, etc with no problems.
