August Adventure Saturday
It's always good to be accountable, so post on August Adventure to help yourself maintain or lose...
My plan for today:
lots of liquids
at least 2 protein drinks...working on one right now
Breakfast at Ikea...don't know what they have
Lunch in an Italian restaurant at WinStar...will work on protein
Dinnner...don't know where that will be
Okay...being on a trip doesn't help in planning as you can see...but I am taking my vits supplements right now, will get in my liquids, and will get needed protein, so you can make that part happen even if you aren't cooking/preparing all of your own food at home!
What's your adventure going to be like today?

It's August already??? Gosh, where did July go?
I hit my goal weight in July, so my August Adventure will be to maintain that and maybe even lose a few pounds.
I've started slacking on vitamins (don't hit me Dana!), but I used to take them in the morning, but then they started making me nauseous, so I tried to take them at night only. I'm going to start trying them again both morning and night and see what happens. Will be due for labs again in September and definitely don't want to see any downward trends.
Seems we have been doing this now 8 months and my plan is always the same, cuz it didn't do it the previous month! lol
My plan for the month is to:
1. NOT gain 6 to 10 pounds over the long vacation weekends.
2. Figure out why the weight is see sawing so much more than my food plan. I am holding steady but the weight is not. That is frustrating.
Doing well with the vitamins as long as I plan and pack for the week. Got some new B-12 that isn't expired and some longer needles, OUCH. Maybe I will actually get some results from it now! lol

My goals for this month.
1. Get down to 165 by the end of the month. (more would be better but with no restriction I need to be realistic)
2. Start pilates class as soon as doctor gives me the go ahead. (3x's a week)
3. Drink my water
4. Take my vitamins

I did great with my plan yesterday. We went to a really great Italian restaurant for dinner. I had chicken piccata and brought home more than half of it.
Today's plan --
Coffee
B - Omelet
S - Protein bar
L - Leftover Swiss Steak with brown rice
S - Iced coffee
D - Going out for Mexican food - will probably have one chalupa.
I'm having to scale back on my protein a little because I think my knee problems may be gout. I had added a protein shake every day a couple of weeks ago and that's when my knee pain flared up. It seems to be getting better.
I've also been concentrating on getting plenty of liquids. I'm doing better although not where I'd like to be yet.

Ok so this is what I have figured out... I don't do well with the protein shakes because milk just isn't my friend... Well I am now eating cream of wheat made with milk so thats a total plus. I have a problem of not being able to eat much and get my liquid in. So I think I have a plan...
B- Cream of wheat w/ milk
Coffee w/ protein
snk- not sure
L- 4 crackers with a slice of lunch meat and a 1/4 slice of cheese
snk- yogurt w/ back to nature granola ( without the granola the texture makes me sick)
D- something high in protein Usually ground beef or fish... don't do chicken it always gets stuck
snk- not sure
Ok the breakfast cream of wheat w/ milk is a new thing since being in the hosp. As for the B, Coffee, Lunch and 2nd snack won't change... Am I on the right track...
Yes of course water and fuze and lemon flavored water as much as possible...
Any thoughts or comments are greatly appreciated..
Love ya all bunches
