Good morning all! Obviously I'm working today, or I'd still be  neck deep in covers. I haven't worked weekends in awhile, but had pretty much psyched myself up for this one over a week ago. That Puerto Rico vacation--the one where I do NOT get paid while I'm gone-- is a week from tomorrow, so I have to work all I can now! Such is life...some peeps are rich...some peeps are me...The case I'm doing now is WAY different than my "normal". The lady was put on "crisis care" for nausea, etc...not to pass away..She's already way better, so I got to "play  Jewish mama" yesterday and feed her something about every hour on the hour, to see what she could tolerate. I even COOKED cream of wheat from scratch! I'm scheduled there thru the weekend, so she may gain 100 lbs before I get thru with her. The only rough part is the hour drive to and from-but it's a pretty drive-all country-out in Weatherford, where Papa Jack lives.

Speaking of Papa JACK, sure hate to miss Rise and Shine this morning...sigh...CRAP...and  hate to miss Winstar with STEPHANIE, KARLA, LYNNETTE, KATHY, etc...crap...crap..crap..whine **** moan

okay..off to the shower...

I didn't know to look for you at Winstar and I played almost the whole time in Bejing.  Except for a small portion of time I went to the older section and played on some of my favorite machines... they have gotten rid of my bank of moneybags for the remodeling.

Good morning everyone!  We had some serious rain last night and lost our electricity for a coupld of hours!  I think it's a conspiracy though.  I think my whole neighborhood went to WalMart shopping when the lights went out!  Oncor and Wally World have this worked out.  Think they are getting a kick back from all the sales??  LOL!!

Nurse Tanya and I are celebrating our THREE YEAR SURGIVERSARY today!!!  Woo HOo!!  Three years!  I can't believe it!!  I remember being a newby on this board and seeing people posting things like that and could not imagine myself that far out!  I've had a problem lately with weight gain and eating (I'm back up to 197 lbs this morning) so I really need to focus and get back to basics.  The Carb Monster has really been attacking me and I've just sat back and enjoyed it!  Not any more!!   Focus, Focus, Focus!!  Anyone for the 5DPT with me?  I still have (now that I'm back up to almost 200 lbs!!!! ) 35 to 40 pounds to get off!!  It's going to be difficult, but I KNOW I CAN DO IT!!

On the job front, I'm not sure what is going on with work.  I've been talking to a couple of people that work at Lockheed, and they are telling me to put in for jobs over there.  So I'm going to look at their web site and put in for a couple of jobs, and hopefully they'll take my resume in to HR and it'll give me a hand up!!  I can defer my retirement or take an early out at the post office.  I just really need to get out of there!!  I think the stress of the situation with the Injured on Duty people and the way they are treating us is what has caused me to gain weight.  Lately I don't handle stress well.

I'm trying to sit down and write everything that happened to me while I was in the military for the VA review board and I gotta tell you, it's not easy.  I'd thought I had handled the emotions, but I don't think so. This is way difficult.  I had most of it compartmentalized and now I'm dragging it out again, and wow!  Let's just say this isn't easy!!  But I'm going to do it.  I need to get my disability going and this is the only way I can see to do it right now.  Besides, it might be good for me to do this.  Either that, or I'll go crazy! LOL!!  Wish me luck!

Well, gotta get up and take a shower.  I'm going to the Rise N Shine this morning to see my peeps that I haven't seen in FOREVER!!  And it's my own fault.  I'm very good at holing up and lone wolfing it, but I need some peep time!!  And Papa Jack and Mr. David give the BEST hugs!  I'm in need of that this morning!!

Good Morning Nurse Gina and the rest of my TMB Family,

Hey Gina, if I complain of nausia, and loose a few pounds will you come to my house and cook for me?????   That lucky woman you are taking care of.  I hope she realizes she has one of the best!   I woke up to thunder and lightening and pooring rain!  It is wonderful.  Dont plan on going anywhere today unless I have to.  Mark is already out the door to work.  That poor guy never ever stops.  He only worked a 1/2 day yesterday so he could go to th picnic so today he will work all day to finish what he could not get done yesterday.  The new Comander we have likes to keep his men busy!  Ok enough said about that!  89 days and we wont have to worry about it any more!  We are working on trying to come to the dinner next weekend.  THinking about making it a family day.  We all want to see the Kennedy stuff in Dallas so this might be the perfect day to do it and then head to the dinner.  Well I guess I am going to go and enjoy the rain and have my coffee.  Gina, thanks for getting us started this morning.  Prayers continue for Rebecca and Meggie and all the rest that are in need.  Have a blessed day.  Love you guys.   Michelle

I'm up too Gina, looking at the disaster (i.e. house) that 5 kiddos did yesterday.  It confirms why 2 are more than enough in my house, lol.

Guess I missed this PR trip you speak of, who's going and when?

Not much on the agenda today except the normal house cleaning, laundry situation.  We're also taking the kiddos to see Alien in the Attic sometimes later on.  Sister (Renee) was released from the hospital yesterday but isn't allowed to leave Houston until her follow-up on Wednesday. 

Ok, not much to say right now still fighting the 12 lb regain that I lose 3-4 of and regain.  I need some refocus big time, planning for next week to be better.  We are going to Gulf Shores on August 8th so I want to be down a little before vacation.

I'm up ... didn't planning on being up this early, but I guess the excitement of the day ahead (and my bladder) forced me out of bed.

Looking forward to seeing the gamblers in a few hours and lunch with Lynnette - then I have to head back here early because I, being the dumbass that I am, volunteered to fill in for my friend that had her baby yesterday at the races.  But it's extra cash flow to add to what I'm going to WIN today (the power of positive thinking!!)
