1 Year Surgiversary
One year ago I started the journey of my life. 8-1-08 I had my RYN. It has been a life changing journey. I have lost 109 lbs but I have gained new friends and family. I had heart problems. Double bypass for my heart. Before that I had 2 stints, diabetes, a stroke and cancer. Before 8-1 I didn't realize I was existing not living. I could not go shopping or enjoy my dd.
Today I can do things I have not done is many many years. I was on 13 different meds plus 4 shots a day. Today I am on 4 meds and no shots. I just want to thank all my friends and family who have accepted me for who I am and have given me the strength I needed and the encouragement I needed to make my goal and to enjoy life.
Today I am about to join friends at IKEA and then on to Winstar to celebrate my 1 year anniversary.

Congratulations on your surgiversary yesterday Karen. I really enjoyed getting to visit you and meet Ashleigh. I know you're happy to be in such better health now after surgery.

LOL OK no more chick o stixs.....I thought you were going to wait until TUESDAY!!!! Oh well drink lots of water to wash they out of your system. Yep now we most definetly know each other and I am really happy about it.
